Re: Per Kendall Rogers of perfectgame.com

If Bianco gets worse next season Dan McDonald would be the prime candidate for the job. Bianco is either top 2 or 3 in pay for head coaches in baseball in the COUNTRY! So I would think we could find the scratch to steal him away from Louisville even though Louisville does have some serious cash for...

Per Kendall Rogers of perfectgame.com

This guy might be the front runner for the coaching spot: Cliff godwin Summary-played at East Carolina from 97-01, has coaching experience at Notre Dame and LSU before heading to UCF; also served as director of baseball operations at Vandy prior to becoming a coach. Currently serves as recruiting co...

Re: for those interested, draft update

Golson has reportedly said no to the first BoSox offer, citing a desire to play football; he claims it was for a million-plus; Hopefully Boston signs all the guys they took ahead of him so as not to free up any extra cash.

Re: Jake Morgan

Just heard that Jake, despite not being drafted, will not petition for a 6th year of eligibility. Also will not seek a free agent deal as the idea of basically living on a bus for the immediate and indeterminable future do not appeal to him.

Good Luck to you Jake.

Re: for those interested, draft update

So how decimating has this been on our upcoming class? 5 current players (1senior) 7 signees Not decimating until they actually sign. From the signees, reed is the only lock to go pro, and golson and overbay, based on the deep pockets that selected them, are roughly 50-50 imo. The rest likely make ...

Rutgers' coach proposes doing away with kickoffs

link Quick rundown of his proposal: after a score, a team has the option of lining up to punt (not a free-kick like after a safety) from the 30 (replaces the traditional kickoff) or run the equivalent of a 4th and 15 play (replaces the onside kick). His emphasis is on safety of the players; players...

Re: Most accurate preseason magazine past 15 yrs has ole mis

By the way I was trying to remember........maybe someone can help me. Remember joe gunn? Did Deuce have more rushing yards each season then he did or did gunn have more one of those seasons? Joe had more one season, though I believe Deuce was hobbled with an ankle injury that entire year. I actuall...

25-signee limit now in place in the SEC

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=6623466 Thought the article doesn't state it, I believe the overall proposal also included language about no longer allowing greyshirts starting with the 2012 recruiting cycle. I am not sure how I feel about this. On one hand, coaches will have to put a h...

Looks like Nutt helped out his old friend Jack Crowe again

Clarence Jackson, former projected starting LB for Ole Miss, will be teammates with Tig Barksdale next season at Jacksonville State. Link Good luck to the kid. Not that his lastest mishap was a big deal (to me anyway), but his track record was likely too much for Nutt to overlook, especially conside...

Re: Cj johnson does something tremendously stupid

There's a buzz going around the internet and radio right now about something johnson did a few hours after incoming freshmen reported yesterday.....Johnson went and tweeted this: " Brand new car, and a brand new me" And he included a picture of himself and his new 20,000 dollar ride along...

Re: Brunetti

IDEALLY the best situation would be starting Mackey with Stoudt as backup, which would make it possible to redshirt Brunetti. But REALISTICALLY ...I'm all for starting whoever gives us the best shot at winning. Agree; would love to be able to Redshirt Brunetti this season, but if he is the best, th...

Re: Selection over, our seasons over, we didn't get in

Our big hope is this upcoming recruiting class. According to bianco, that is. We have a really good class but thats not going to matter because the same things going to happen that always does....we'll only have a fraction of that class actually suit up in a ole miss uniform because of the draft. W...

Re: 100 Improvements to the Game Day experience

I think the loudness factor has more to do of how our stadium was built as opposed to the actual noise. Noise helps, but they need to figure out how to put the acoustics into the stadium. Exactly; not saying we are the loudest crowd by any means, but the less than extreme angle of the sideline stan...
