Re: How many incoming kids did we lose to MLB?

We lost TiQuan Forbes and Foster Griffen. Neither were likely ever making it to campus. Griffin went in the 1st round and signed for $1.9m. Forbes went in the 2nd for $1.25m.

Tate Blackmon, Clay Casey, Brady Feigl, and the other 9 should be on campus in August.

Re: Hitting Coach Candidates?

The Rivals Baseball Guru said Lafferty did a lot of the Florida recruiting. Don't know if that's so, but. if true, this hire would open up Texas and the Midwest. Godwin was/is a great recruiter, but some feel that Lafferty is the best recruiter and he did handle a lot of Florida. This hire opens up...

Re: Hitting Coach Candidates?

Should be announcement in the next 24 hours It's Mike Clement of K. St. Interested to see how this affects our recruiting. Expect less Florida kids and more Texas. I'm hoping we have a solid enough footprint in Orlando to where we can get the top there, top of Dulin, and some more Alex Yarboroughs ...

Re: Hitting Coach Candidates?

I'd love to have gautreau. Guy was a beast at Tulane and a 1st round pick. He's an above average recruiter and young. And from what I hear a really good defensive infielder coach. His offenses at Tulane have been pretty good. But he has been successful, knows what it takes to be successful, and has...

Re: Replacements for Godwin....

I have no clue who we will hire. There's just so much that goes into that position. Training, recruiting, etc.

Re: Godwin

Godwin has almost full control of the hitting. He makes the calls. I'm not sure who's responsible for pinch hitters though. But I think it's hilarious when Godwin calls a bunt or something and it doesn't work out, bianco will give him a blank state haha

Re: Godwin

I'm not sure how much money has to do with it. It's a head coaching position at his alma mater. ECU has a decent program. But I don't think he'd even consider it if he didn't play there. Honestly he could prob land a better HC gig. It gets his foot in the door though. A couple successful years there...

Godwin

I fully expect him to take the ECU job. I've been told he's already accepted it but that's just rumor right now.
