I grew up in Memphis going to the original Leonard's in South Memphis and have been to most of the well known BBQ places. I now favor Germantown Commissary near the intersection of Poplar Ave. and Germantown Rd. It's usually crowded, especially on week ends, but worth the wait IMO.
