Re: Sunday Starter
Ellis will be fine. I would start him too if it were my call. With this ballpark you just have to pound the zone and let them put in play. There's comfort in that if you are a pitcher. You don't have to be perfect on each pitch

Re: Bertman: Parity has watered down college baseball
Failed to acknowledge the new mlb draft rules and their affect. A lot more big time high school players are now making it to campuses. As a result more teams are getting really good talent due to the scholarship limitations. Look at the top 10 rounds this year. A lot of prospects are from smaller sc...

I'm so happy for him. He's finally rewarded for all his hard work and trust me he works his tail off.

Sam doesn't match up too well but I'm hoping for the best. He will be short leashes though. Get us through four and turn to the pen. Hopefully weathersby and lax are up to the task

Re: Not watching tonight...
They'd be seeing Trent for the 4th time. The combo of that and his pitch count could blow up in our face. No reason to keep him in when Greenwood has been dominate lately. Leaving guys in too long has kept us out of Omaha before. Got to trust the pen.

Re: We jumped the gun on Lafayette being undeserving
The "experts" have been comparing UL and UM all year. Great starting pitching, good bullpen, speed, and power at the plate. We are very similar teams and it ought to be a knock out, drag out fight. I'm looking forward to the series, but am not excited about playing on your turf. Although, ...

I think it's fair. They won over 50 games this year and deserve their home field advantage. We shouldn't be allotted half the seats because we have more fans. We just should have taken care of business and hosted our own SR. We wouldn't want to give them several thousand tickets if it were reversed...
