Re: The Sky Is Not Falling
rebelbear: your points are well-taken. The early part of our schedule was front-loaded. When you play teams can make a difference. Perhaps our hitting lineup will solidify itself, and the hitting that some of our fans are complaining about will come around. It's very clear that our hitters were no m...

Re: The Sky Is Not Falling
I would offer these observations: A & M got swept this weekend by Florida. That does not mean A & M is suddenly a bad team. It means Florida is much better, maybe the best in the country. Kentucky took 2 of 3 from Florida. Does that mean Florida is not a good team? I'll tell you what it mean...

Re: The Sky Is Not Falling
Nice response. Let's see if we can take care of business against Arkansas. I'll start worrying if we can't.

The Sky Is Not Falling
We probably just went through the toughest stretch of our schedule in the last six games. Winning Sunday's game against State is the start of the rest of the schedule which features a lineup of teams that are either no better than we are or not as good. Arkansas comes to town ripe for the picking af...

Re: South Carolina
Some of you guys jump ship quick. South Carolina's RPI, which was #2 before our series, is now #1. Florida lost 2 of 3 to Kentucky. Think they still aren't a good team? We've played two series. Eight more to go. Bianco is juggling the lineup to get Fitzsimmons in it and put Lartique where he'll do t...

Re: South Carolina
Bramlett did struggle, uncharacteristically. But even if he hadn't and sat them down in the first inning, I think they would have won. They just hit the ball better and pitched better. They took the first game against Clemson, but then lost the back end. We need to do the same. We had no errors and ...

This was School Day. There were reportedly almost 7,000 schoolchildren from all over North Miss. attending this game. What a great way to cultivate future Rebel fans!

Re: Rebs Go 4-1 in 5-Game Road Trip
Those MW Games don't seem to bother this team. Undefeated so far. The difference, I think, is the pitching depth. If somebody's not filling up the zone, there are plenty of others to sub. I don't see us losing many of those games this year.rebeljim wrote: Shhh, never speak of mid week games.....Never.

Rebs Go 4-1 in 5-Game Road Trip
We were an error or so away from sweeping UT, but we took care of business mid-week and in Knoxville, taking the backend of the series. We still have a Top Five RPI. Showdown next weekend with South Carolina, which also has a Top Five RPI. Typical SEC schedule. We should win the midweek game against...

Nice bounce back win with some great fielding saving the day. Rebs even the series with a 6-4 score. On to Sunday to try for the series win.

Re: Tennessee Stats & Info
Two thoughts: sloppy fielding continues to crop up. Cost us a game tonight. The other thought is that Bramlett was left in too long. Spoiled a great pitching effort on his part. Hope we can put this behind us and go on to win the series.

Opener at Knoxville with UT finds the Vols with 11-5 record overall. Their RPI is #65. We are #3. The Vols have a 2-1 record against teams with a Top 50 RPI. They are 1-2 against teams with RPI between 50 and 100. They are the best team we've faced since Louisville. However, their top hitter and ove...

Re: UAB
So far, we're tough to beat. We've dominated most games, and in the few we haven't, such as come-from-behind wins, we've just done whatever was necessary to prevail. 12 in a row in baseball is difficult to achieve, but we've done it. I also like the way Bianco has pulled people when they were runnin...

15-1, 10 in a row. #3 RPI. Should move into Top Ten in all polls this week.
