Don't know if any of you have seen this. We signed this kid out of Bastrop, LA, may have some grade issues but his video is pretty impressive. Some of his passes, many on the run, are 40+ yards and he's very quick. I'd love to see him in that Wildcat package that Nutt has. Hope to see him on campus soon.

The video is on the right hand side of the rivals page. His WR #5 looks strong also, don't know who he is.

Rumor has it that this kid would have been recruited super-heavily if he weren't a grade issue. We knew he'd be a grade casualty but Nutt plans on enrolling the kid in Hargrave and hopefully having him as a part of the team in a couple of seasons.

Furthermore, that WR you mention is 5-star Reuben Randle, rated as the best WR in the class of 2009 by Rivals.

Don't try to teach a pig to sing. They'll call you silly names and get all bitter about head coach.

He seemed to be a very solid WR, 5* wow. I hope we can tap into that market (Bastrop, LA) they have had some really good ball teams for a while. I know Marshay is from there and it seems that they always have a couple of D1 kids.

Gotta be honest about randle. Hes prolly goin to LSU. If we had orgeron, it might be different, but we dont. Randle is a stud though.

MTownReb, Im talking about Reuben Randle. The 5* from LA. Randall Mackey is with us for sure. I just cant imagine us beating out LSU for a 5*, even with orgeron.

you can't possibly think Nutt is a better recruiter than O now can you?

For what it's worth, Mackey was escorted to Bastrop by an assistant coach from Buras, LA right after Katrina along with a couple other kids. They won the class 4A state title, but had to forfeit it. The funny thing is, they rebuilt and reorganized the school he was at, (was Buras, now South Plaquemines) and they won the class 1A title this past season. Mackey has questionable character issues and has been penalized and/or tossed out of a few games.
I thought he was very good as a sophomore the first time I saw him...I just thought he would grow a few more inches since then.
Randle is very very good...looks like a battle between LSU, Miami and possibly Nick Saban. Also, the 5 star receiver, Benton is from Bastrop via a prep school, and Randle asked to wear his number...supposedly they are close, and Benton is in Baton Rouge. for what it's worth
