Good win today. No matter how good or bad Auburn is, that is always a tough game especially at Jordan Hare. It was sloppy at times but we made plays when we needed to which is huge.chad made some bad decisions but pressure doesn't help that. At the same time some passes are just too forced. Have to clean that up.

Sorry, but I still think David Kellum is a bush league announcer. He doesn't pay attention to what's really going on, gets confused, calls names wrong and sounds like a rube. He has not improved one play call since he took over a couple of decades ago. I've been more than ready for a long time for the voice of Ole Miss not to sound like somebody who just fell off a turnip truck.

And speaking of announcers, one of those ESPN talking heads sure doesn't want Ole Miss to go to the playoffs. Kept saying over and over that if Ole Miss won out and was SEC champ, they wouldn't make it. If the committee pays attention to the metrics, there's no way an SEC Champ wouldn't go with two losses. SOS alone would do the trick.

ESPN isn't the only one saying this . I read some others last week saying the same thing.

Totally disagree.. Think he does a great job of explaining the action as fast to real time as he can... Does a really good job with basketball as well..

A win is a win, and I'll gladly take it! As a lifetime fan, it is frustrating to see the same mistakes week after week (and the same bad plays being called). I hope I'm wrong, but Kelly seems to be digressing under the coaching staff. He a great athlete, and I know he's better than he looked today.

Arkansas will be tough! It's a good thing we seem to play better at home. Hotty Toddy!

We lost 5 in a row at Aubie... If it were that easy to just go in there and dominant we would have stolen one along the way... There were a lot of mistakes made, but learning from a win is what you want to do... All I know is, it is a new season.. Go 3-0 and we are playing in Atlanta!

Kelly getting a big win on the road should go along way with his progression. Hopefully he continues to keep that head on straight and make the plays in the game that matter.

Almost forgotten in all of this (although the announcers on the call did mention it) is that Arkansas will be our tenth game in a row. I thought we played pretty well considering Auburn was the ninth in a row. That was Payback #1. I'm sure the shutout last year in Fayetteville left a really bad taste in our players' mouths. That's Payback #2. We can go all out to avenge with the open date finally in sight. And look at it this way: we are the ONLY team in the SEC that now will have an open date in the middle of that final stretch. Everyone else will have to play four in a row. And if we win out through the title game, I'm not buying that we won't be in the playoff. If we go to Atlanta and don't win, I predict we will still get an Access Bowl like we did last year. It's still all in front of us.

I was frustrated with the defense mainly. It's like they were playing brilliant for a couple plays at a time, only to literally stand around and watch guys run right past them on third down. Offensively, I didn't think the play calling was as bad as previous games. It was upsetting that they did nothing to answer the constant pressure coming up the middle.

I have some other frustrations but at the end they won! Personally, I can't remember the last time we beat both AL teams in the same season. I don't know they have ever beaten both on the road. You better believe I'm happy about it.

Freeze said that Werner called 80% of the plays. Freeze's play calling was horrible and he's making changes, sign of a good coach. Another big test will be this off season, when we'll see if he makes any staff changes. This one I really doubt he does anything. Really hope I'm wrong. And this was the first time in our history we beat both bama and awbarn in the same year both on the road.

Stan was great. Always told you what was happening when it happened. Didn't make you guess. Everyone's entitled to their opinion on this, but I'm always frustrated listening to Kellum and don't like the sound of his voice. Ole Miss deserves better, and I hope will get it soon.

Kellum is one of the better broadcasters I've listened to. Usually I do everything in my power to watch sports because of most broadcasters biased, boring, opinionated calls. I don't think Kellum is any of that. Wasn't aware this was an issue with some fans. Oh well; we all have our own taste and opinions.

IMO, Hawthorne at LSU is everything I depise in a sports announcer. It is truly miserable listening to a game with him.

Hawthorne is retiring. I wish Kellum would, too. I much prefer how Richard Cross calls a game, and he sounds professional.

I don't have the opportunity of listening to Mississippi announcers here as there is no station that I can pick up that carries Ole Miss games. I will say that I have yet to find an announcer on TV or the radio that I can tolerate for very long. Fortunately, every game is on TV now and I have a DVR for those occasions when something takes me away from the game. If I can watch, I don't need an announcer to tell me what is happening.
