I just don't think we're gonna land the big one because of things already stated. I don't see Strong as a candidate at all. I'm sure it's gonna be a name Ole Miss is familiar with which is what I'm afraid of. At the end of the day, I think a lot of the blame can be placed on the investigation. It does in fact seem As though Mcgriff is the name being thrown around a lot but I think there are a few others better suited to what we need. Leavitt is one I think we can lure in with money. I think his head coaching days are over and the guy knows how to build a defense.
I'm 99% sure the DC has already been decided upon.

If it is a done deal why has he not been named? It hurts you in recruiting.
Could be something in his contract that he has to wait until after the early signing period. I have no idea, and nothing has been officially announced yet. But all signs point to McGriff, and looks like he'll bring James Willis with him. Looks like we'll announce it around mid week next week.

I agree it will be the crime dawg, but I also believe 100% the reason it has not been announced is because they are waiting on a hard no from some big fish. (Strong, Shannon) Until they get that no they are not moving on.

a friend said it was talked about on the radio in Jackson yesterday. Nobody, and I mean No One, has mentioned it on Rivals.

Correct, he's gone. Batoon may follow him to FAU.

Yes, not the hire I wanted but it's time to move forward and hopefully it turns out to be a home run hire. I can't help but think Mcgriff was brought in largely due to his recruiting. Welcome back Mcgriff.
