From Clarion-Ledger

McGriff's defense will be based out of a 4-3 front, with the main emphasis on the structure of the fits on defense.
Freeze and McGriff will work on filling out the defensive staff this weekend.
It will be Longo's offense to call and Freeze will work with him on the plan.
Freeze described Longo as the "ultimate learner."
Safeties coach and special teams coordinator Corey Batoon will be assigned to an off-the-field position so McGriff can build his defensive staff.
Freeze is excited anytime his assistants have a chance to go after their career goals in reference to Chris Kiffin and Grant Heard.
Auburn defensive coordinator Kevin Steele highly recommended McGriff to Freeze.
Freeze spoke with Sam Houston State quarterback Jeremiah Briscoe, and Mike Leach among others about Longo.
Freeze said it's good that he hasn't had much change with his staffs, but felt like it was a time for a change. He feels both Longo and McGriff could take us from good to great.

I watched the CHF press conference: Freeze appeared to be tired and stressed. Anyone care to elaborate on what the " terminology and structure " mumbojumbo actually means?

terminology is how the defensive players are called (ie. LB's being called Husky vs Viper, Tilt for DT vs Nose guard, Cover 2 zone Vs. Man to Man) The structure of the Defense gives reference to which players abilities fit different schemes and if the individuals can get away with different formations... sorta cheating coverages to disquise formations. (for exampole we could go with a 2 down line if we had the players that could cover running plays sideline to sideline...it might be impossible to find but if the d line could do it we could concievably run a 2-3-6 def)... I hope this sorta explains it albeit in an overly simplified way.
