Rebs up 7-2 after 5 of Game 2. We have 11 hits so far today. Playing two 7 inning games today. Bramlett has been good after the first 2 innings. Hope he can finish this one off and save Short for Game 3 tonight. Would be huge to take 2 this weekend.

Ball Game. 7-4. Short came in and finished the Aggies off. Hopefully Game 3 will get underway soon if the weather cooperates.

"Swing and a miss, heeeeeeeee struck him out! The Rebels are 7-4 winners"....... We were not able to save short. DK says there is heavy rain heading their way... Don't know if they will be able to get game 2 in.

Our SOS will remain #1 no matter what. Taking Game Two will improve our RPI, but taking the series would really move us up into the low-twenties and within striking distance of the teens. We need to perform well in Hoover because there is an outside chance we could end up hosting. But, this has been a great coaching job by MB in a rebuilding year.

Looks like scattered showers all around. Probably be a delay at some point, but hopefully they can get the game in. I think I saw somewhere today (Twitter maybe) that the SEC isn't allowing any games tomorrow. Is that a normal rule on the final weekend with the conference tourney starting on Tuesday?

EDIT: As I typed this, it started pouring at my house.

The rule about starting the last series on Thursday and not allowing Sunday games has to do with the tournament in Hoover starting on Tuesday. All the players need some rest.

Cancelling game 3

really helps us. We'll go into Tuesday's game with a well-rested Weathersby, with no need to try to rush Trent into a start with short rest. We still have some momentum at the plate (if you'll excuse Thursday night's game). I like our chances to advance deep. Does anyone know what the word is on Cloyd?

Jeff on scout says there's a good chance he'll play in the SEC tourney, but won't be 100%.

Haven't seen a lineup for today yet, but it would be nice to at least have Cloyd at DH. We don't miss anything with Watson in LF, but we do miss Cloyd's bat in the lineup.
