This deal was in the works for quite a while...long before Ray was "officially" let go. Hate it for Ray...think he was a guy that was going to build their program the right way. However, the powers-that-be didn't have the patience to give him more than 3 years to pull this team up from the dumps. Howland will have them on probation before he has them in the NCAA tournament.

This is a very good hire for them. Another school in the SEC ready to "play the game". state will probably be a tourney team within a couple of years.
