In another thread, someone asked about the CM patch winner. I think it is worthy of its own thread and discussion.
I'll go with either Kendrick Lewis or Marcus Tillman. Tillman won't win an award for being the flashiest player but he is solid and a leader by his actions and play. By all indications, he is well respected among his teammates. Lewis has turned into a fine safety. He has given us solid play and seems to have stepped into a leadership role (although more of this will be seen in spring practice). I could also see Marshay Green being a player worthy of the award.
Who do y'all think? Has Trahan paid his dues, should a JUCO signee/transfer be considered? Is Hardy worthy?
Who wins the Mullins Award?

You've just got to learn from the wrong things you've done. I came off the rebound, started looking around, figured out it's time to have a little fun.
I think since the players are doing the voting that DEX will get it. Every player loves him.parrotreb wrote:In another thread, someone asked about the CM patch winner. I think it is worthy of its own thread and discussion.

Great choice, certainly a team captain. But he's not a defensive player. I thought that was a criteria, although maybe it has changed over the years.Hagar wrote:I think since the players are doing the voting that DEX will get it. I like parrots 3. I think I would have to go with K. Lewis though. I think he's going to have a good year next season. I love how M. Green took on the CB role and really matured at the position as the year progressed. What a team player!! Either of the 3 I believe are worthy of the CM patch.
Rule #1.......Don't panik
I'd like for it to be Marshay.badmotorfinger wrote:I like parrots 3. I think I would have to go with K. Lewis though. I think he's going to have a good year next season. I love how M. I believe that man will not merely endure: he will prevail. He is immortal, not because he alone among creatures has an inexhaustible voice, but because he has a soul, a spirit capable of compassion and sacrifice and endurance.

Marshay? No.

(people snicker and reporters secretly want Marshay to keep talking)

Criteria for the CM award: senior defensive player who most embodies Chucky Mullins' spirit and courage.
My choice: Marcus Tillman; Reason: Team player all the way, has moved inside twice in his career due to team needs.

Your reason could apply to Lewis and Green as well. They were both wideouts who moved to DB due to team needs.olemsdave76 wrote:Criteria for the CM award: senior defensive player who most embodies Chucky Mullins' spirit and courage.

Don't try to teach a pig to sing. They'll call you silly names and get all bitter about head coach.
