All-time Series Record: Friday night will be the eighth meeting between the Rebels and the Horned Frogs. TCU leads the series 4-3 presently. The two teams met in Fort Worth last season. The Friday night game was rained out so the two teams played a double-dip on Saturday. The Rebels took game 1 by a 3-1 count; however the early series lead would not hold up as the Horned Frogs took game 2 by a score of 5-4 and clinched the rubber match 2-1 on Sunday. The last meeting of the two teams in Oxford was in 1995. The Rebels took both of those games, 9-4 and 10-1.

Other notes:

First pitch is set for 6:30 pm Friday, 1:00 pm Saturday, and 1:30 pm Sunday.

TCU Head Coach Jim Schlossnagle is in his 6th season at the helm of the Frog's program. He is 211-102 at TCU and 288-149 overall as a head coach.

The Frogs have won 5 straight conference tournament titles; 2 in the CUSA and 3 in the MWC. They are one of just 3 schools in Texas (along with Rice and Texas) to appear in the last 5 NCAA Regionals. They were #5 nationally last year in fielding percentage.

TCU started the season on the road last weekend at baseball "helment" school Cal State-Fullerton. They lost their first game Friday 7-6, but then took the series with a 8-6 win on Saturday and 11-6 on Sunday. They then went back to Fort Worth where they defeated Dallas Baptist 6-0 on Tuesday and then Texas State 8-2 yesterday.

OF Chris Ellington leads the Frogs at the plate. He is currently hitting a .458. IF Matt Vern is just behind him hitting at a .400 clip.

IF Matt Curry and OF Jason Coats are leading the team in HRs with 2 apiece.

Ole Miss swept the University of Central Arkansas in a two game mid-week series and will look to continue the win streak this weekend.

I'm thinkink the same thing...

Won't know until game time. I hate the idea of having to play a DH tomorrow. When we played a DH against them last season it didn't turn out that well...

It's been raining in Oxford a lot. Suppose to be off and on all night. If we do play baseball tonight, I'd expect a lot of rain delays...
