Is it just me or does that game scare anyone else? It's an away thursday night game in an 80,000+ person stadium that is gonna be packed cause we will likely be an undefeated top 10 team. I know we are gonna be good but our DC was under Spurrier before he came to us, so Spurrier likely knows our defense better than anyone else.
I feel pretty good about the rest of the competition but the USC game is giving me some bad vibes.
South Carolina game

Everyone else is so scared of this game just bc its on a Thursday night at SC. Im not concerned at all. USC is a good team, but we are clearly the better team. We have more talent and a QB. I think we win this game.
Last year early in the season SC lost to Vanderbilt at home on Thursday night. SC has big questions at QB, Receiver and O-line still and I think the OM defense will be too much.Brasher wrote:Is it just me or does that game scare anyone else? Nutt is a guy that gets his teams to thrive playing in hostile road games at night. I'm predicting a win but remember the SC '06 recruiting class was in the top5 in the nation and I'd bet if you looked 07 and 08 classes were both ranked higher for SC. So, it's a game SC should win but I don't think they will.

It will be a though game, but like what was already said, we are the better team, so I think we should pull it out. It will really give us a taste of just how good this D is in a in game situation too......

this may be the most talented team Spurrier has had at SC. Remember those top 10 classes (at least one top 5, anyway) mentioned earlier. Talent level may be closer than you think With that said, if we lose I'll be disappointed.

I think this may be the toughest game on our schedule. It is the first test of the season. It is a game we can win against an opponent who is no better than us. It is on the road on national t.v. It is a chance for us to prove we are the real deal. Winning this game would be huge for our team. I won't be disappointed in a loss here because it will be such a tough game for us to win. This is a South Carolina team with alot of talent and a team that did hand us our worst loss of last year. And they did it in Oxford right after we beat Florida.
This game is freaking huge.
