Most of us are practically experts on our Rebels. What I'm not clear about is the talent level of our opponents, save a few. To get a little bit away from the homerism (though not quite that far), how would you rate the talent level of each of our opponents this season on a 10-point scale (1 being weak, 10 being badass)? Any elaboration or evidence to back up a couple of your calls would be appreciated (by me, at least).

Memphis - 3
SE Louisiana - 1
South Carolina - 8
Vanderbilt - 6
Alabama - 9 I know in a previous post I stated that SC would be our toughest game, but that is purely because it is on the road on a weeknight. Bama and SC are largely the same talent-wise, IMO.
UAB - 2
Arkansas - 7
Auburn - 7 This one is a tough call for me. I'm not sure how much talent they've got on the Plains, but I know that it's enough to give us trouble on the road. Call me crazy, but I say that this is our second and final L of the season.
Northern Arizona - 1
Tennessee - 7
LSU - 9
Mississippi State - 5

Memphis is going to be much improved this year. They got several transfers and several JC kids that were recruited by big time programs.
The problem with them, as always, is depth. Once you get by the first string the talent level goes way down.
I think I would give them at least a 5.

uab usually has a couple decent players and they play hard i would say at least a 3 if not a 4. but also note i dont have a clue what they have this year.

I'm going to go ahead and say I don't think Tennessee is a 7. Yes, their coaching staff seems to have potential. In Nashville, sports talk analysts on the radio have mentioned their team's weakness is going to be their o-line and probably QB.

Their defense and RB's will have talent, but I don't think they'll be able to score many points.

I'll give them a 6, maybe even a 5.
