Just thought an update for those who are interested. As we all know, Mizzou held their All-America pitcher for tomorrow. HUGE MISTAKE! WKU jumped all over the Mizzou starter and put 6 runs on the board. They then put 2 more up in the 3rd. WKU's offense has been just down-right SCARY in this one. Mizzou finally held the Toppers scoreless for the first time today in the 4th inning.
Oxford native and WKU OF Chad Cregar is 0-2 thus far in the game, but he did walk in the 1st and later scored.
Meanwhile Mizzou has been dismal at the plate. WKU's starter struck out 4 of the first 6 hitters he faced. But the Tigers have runners at 1st and 2nd no outs. Whoops, nevermind. Bases-clearing HR gets the Tigers back in the game.
Bottom of 4th, no outs:
WKU 8
Mizzou 3

2 more for the Toppers in the top of the 5th against Mizzou's 6th pitcher of the game. BTW, those RBIs went to WKU's Matt Hightower, Ole Miss C Taylor Hightower's older brother.
WKU's hitters are chewing up Mizzou's bullpen in a hurry!
BTW, WKU is 23-0 this season when scoring 10 or more runs.
Middle of 5th:
Toppers 10
Tiger 3

Yeah, that has been par for the course for Mizzou for most of the year. After Gibson, Jamieson's rotation is pretty much by committee. He tends to burn anywhere from 5 to 8 pitchers a game.
I feel like his plan was to get Tepesch through four or five innings, then come back with Hicks for a inning or two. Finally break the next two or three innings up among three or four pitchers.
Unfortunately for Mizzou that went to hell in the first inning.
