per Neal on Rivals. Seems there was also a plan in place to move Alex Williams to LB, but his injury has obviosly put that on hold.

Nutt does this kind of stuff alot. At Arkansas he recruited a 170lb safety and he's a starting DE today at about 260 and one of Arks best pass rushers.

He knows how to mold and build guys for certain posistions and he's won SEC west's doing it so don't second guess this man.

I don't really like this move. they raved last year about how good Jason jones was at lb and I thought he could be a possible starting lb next year the way they talked him up but that injury plus the emergence of shackelford and kight. I guess they know what they're doing though. I bet next year he's at lb

There was actually some speculation coming from some guys that I know to be 'in the know' over the summer that this was a possibility (as well as Drummond to DT), but the injury to Smith, which prematurely forced the move of Drummond, as well as the solid play from the frosh LBs, made it possible.

this the great thing about Nutt, he's not afraid to change people's positions and do things other coaches' wouldn't do.
