Bolden was massively underused. Hell even the ESPN guys commented about how stupid it was that McCluster was on the sideline during a crucial 3rd down. They made the adjustments finally and let it slip away at the end. SC played one hell of a game.
Do I think Nutt should provide blood because our staff got out coached? Nope. I'm quite happy with Nutt and still think that 10 games this season is more than possible. How do you think your staff got outcoached? I think both staffs execute the x and 0 factor at a very high level as all coaches in the SEC who's been coaching 20 or 30 years do. some strategies pay off and some don't. Some times other teams have more talent. Some times injuries, depth, luck and officials play a factor. Ole Miss beat a VERY GOOD Texas Tech team last year. They were no fluke, and they are still good this year.
You can't sit around and tell me point after point how you think you got out coached. When you got outcoached it was b/c they had better players executing particular plays. If you really disect a football game real close of 2 teams that are fairly evenly matched as far as size, speed, talent, toughness, then you'll see that about half the plays one staff out coaches the other and vice versa. What I noticed whne you were down by 13 was Summers catch a pass in the middle of hte field for a TD. I didn't see "panick" Then the Ole Miss team was right back in the game.

It's always difficult on a coach when they come in and have immediate substantial success. If you look at the Pro's, College and even all of the sports. A lot of coaches who are in the "worse situations" had success early and weren't able to maintain or build on it.
OM had really good last year cause they already had talent, players bought into the system and they had a staff that know's how to have some success. It was a perfect storm and no matter what anyone says, it was terrific year and OM was playing top 10 ball by the end of the year.
This year is/will be different. Expectations. personnel losses, injuries and pressure will combat the team/staff like never before. Part of it is unjust since the staff hasn't had time to fully implement everything they would like to do. And, they are still dealing with players who were recruited by someone else.
Year 3 or 4 is really the tale of the tape for a coaching staff. Can they do it with their players, with their full system and etc. But all of this is simply magnified by last season's success. If OM would've went 7-5 and no pre season ranking. Would things might be different this year? That's a tough call.

4th and 10 inches. You have ALL the momentum going your way in a hostile environment, and your defense has controlled the 4th quarter and you punt it away. BUT earlier in the game you go for a fack field goal. BAD decision.
Fake a field goal when your team is struggling to move the ball in a 3-3 game where points are at a premium. QUESTIONABLE decision. If it were 17-17 I would have faked it. But I cant fault him for going for it on the decision.l I just wouldn't have in that scenario.
You have success running the ball between the tackles and you decide to start running the ball sideways against a fast defense. BAD DECISION.
