I see this as a low scoring game.
17-14 type and you can pick the winner cause I'm not sure who will win.

Roll Tide anyway though.

I had to laugh since I think a lot of us feel this way. Great game coming, and the winner by just a few points.

Hotty Toddy anyway, as well!!

Gotta a funny feeling deep down. Might be the Chinese I ate last night, but I'm gonna go with the REBELS 24-21.
I think our players want this one REAL BAD. I'm hoping bama plays like they're in the Sugar Bowl.

If we do not play up to our potential, 24-17 bammer.
this is the most accurate of all of the predictions... I can agree with this!

Lest we forget what we did to the Gators last year???

Coach Nutt is always for an upset a least once a year.

Bama 17

I'm usually optomistic about playing bama since we usually have a chance to win it in the final minutes but even if we do pull off the huge upset there is noooo way we will beat them 31-14. I would love it if we did but even if we played our absolute best game we would be lucky to escape with a 17-14 win and that would only happen if bama has a off day which is very unlikely from a saban coached team. I'm not trying to rain on anyones parade but with the way our offense is playing right now the worst possible defense we could face is the one were playing saturday. Alabama is not the team we need to play if were trying to get our offensive production back. Alabama is a very unique team in the sense that they don't beat teams into the ground the way florida does. Bama will keep you in the game for the first two quarters ( like vs. v tech) and then they just pound and pound and pound until your defense is tired of being so physical and then they run up the score on you. The only way we are going to stay in the game is have long drives on offense and keep their defense off balance. If we can do these things then we can do what nutt said and just make it to the 4th quarter with a chance to win it. If we go into the 4th quarter down by 17 then we just need to leave and go to the grove and drink our misery away on another year of not going to atlanta........which i suspect will happen.....

Oh please, everyone is talking like bama is the 85 Bears, or Montana's 9ers, or even 'America's Team' of the 90's. They are not. NS is not Belichick or even the dead bear, hes just a good college coach who is short and wears expensive suits.

Bama can and will be beaten this season, I just want to be the first to do it. Will we have to play our A-game? Of course. They are a good team and if we gift wrap the game like last yr they will beat us. But remember even last yr after playing 1/2 a$$ we still had a chance to pull it out at the end. I know we're still hurting from the SCar debacle, but our defense is better then VTech or anyone else they have faced this season. Cmon guys, we're starting to sound like an espn soundbite. We have nothing to lose and the SECW to gain - I think we play our best game.

Gift wrap is CLOSED FOR THE SEASON. GO REBELS! :x

I couldn’t disagree more with your theory on how we can win. When people talk about teams trying to win it in the fourth quarter they are generally saying that the underdog has to make it to the fourth quarter and hope to catch a break. I might not know right from left but IMO you have to get an early lead on them. I think Utah had the right plan no huddle works beautifully to hit them before they know they are in a fight. If you go down early and have to play from behind Alabama forces mistakes. Then, offensively, they line up and run it down your throat. Your D gets tired and the cycle repeats itself. Our D needs a lead to be effective, make them pass it. We can generate a pass rush and force mcelroy into mistakes. You are right about certain things: Alabama pounds you and wants to control both lines of scrimmage. Alabama would knock you out early if they were built that way. They are not. They lean on you for 2 quarters and runs that were 3 or 4 yards in the first half turn into runs that are 14 or 40 in the 2nd half. Your comparison of them and Florida is wrong, IMO of course. Florida is much more finesse and based on timing and speed. Alabama lines up and physically pounds you on both sides of the ball. If we are down 17 at any point I would pack it up. Saban is a fantastic coach but believe it or not he has lost regular season games before.. Everything we are saying is assumed on Alabama not making mistakes, maybe they are due. No doubt if they play their A game we will probably lose but they are capable of being off. Hell they are due for an off game. We are due to bring our A game

You don't know how bad I want this game, and I really want to pick OM to come out on top, but the numbers keep screaming at me.

I wont count the 9-45-2 all time record, just what has happened since '90. OM is a paltry 2-14 (3-13 if you count the forfeit) over that stretch.

I know, that has nothing to do with this year, but you have to admit over that stretch we have had some pretty good teams and Bama has had some really bad ones. We are still 2-14, 2 and freaking 14!!

It pains me to say:

Has our number 22
Maybe next year 17

If the O-line can protect Snead and make some lanes for the RB's, we can win this game because I feel the D will do well against Bama if they are not on the field 50 minutes out of 60. However, if the O-line is as porous as they have been (especially against S. Car.), the Bama D-line will kill Snead and Bama will kill us.

My prediction: Bama 31 - Ole Miss 21. PLEASE PROVE ME WRONG, REVEREND NUTT. MAKE ME BELIEVE, MAKE ME BELIEVE!!!

A victory for the Rebels would be great! It would be the beginning of the year for this team and after losing by a total of 13 points over the last four years each senior and junior know they can win this game. I will be praying for them to win. Now not only would it be good for them to win but it will be good for me to win. I will be watching the game while at my grandson's birthday party. As some of you know my wife is a Bama fan. Well her entire side of the family will be there. It will look like a Bama family reunion! I will be the only Rebel and the only other one there not a Bama fan will be a So Miss fan. HEY REBELS! WIN ONE FOR THE GRANDDAD!

We are just not playing consistent football yet. If this game was later in the year I would choose differently.

Agreed...they are not IMO even as good as last year's regular season team. You can see their vulnerabilities if you actually watch the games they have played.
But unless we get our heads out of our asses that won't matter. We don't have to play perfectly to beat them, but we darn sure have to play better than we have.

we get dealt with.

I'd be surprised if we don't put more numbers up than Kentucky did though.

Bama rb will break a long one against us...everyone else seems to.

or

We snap out of it and it's great game.
