I am not sold on his qb's but when you run the ball that well like they did today and last week. They don't have to be stud passers.

Dixon is a great player and we are all glad he's gone.

Regardless, the WEST is brutal
State probably burned two or three games this year...planning for this one. I'm serious.

They are determined to make us notice them (acknowledge them as our rival)...as the horn sounded the Jumbotron showed Anthony Dixon scoring (still shot...post card type) with " From Dixon, With Love" signed in script.
Agreed..this was their primary goal....
...or tasteless. That's OK...we got beat in many areas today. We can regroup & still get a good bowl...they can sit home & play with their Egg Bowl Trophy. Sorry....usually a better loser than this....but d*** that one hurt BAD!!!

That and Mullen got the microphone on the field and made the statement that "there definitely is ONE program in Mississippi rebuilding and on the rise"....a reference to Nutt's comments earlier in the week.

Well to be honest, they made their point with me. I mean, Mullen is a childish jerk, but he beat us. Like he said he would. He got my attention. I wanted us to humble him today, and instead he just validated that he doesn't need to bother calling us by our name.

In short, Mullen embarassed us today.

Exactly!! Embarassed!!

But, talk about class- not one time last year did I call any State buddies about the skull-dragging in Oxford. I've received no fewer that 5 phone calls this year already, not to mention what is coming come monday morning. Yeah, I'll say this game just means more to the necks- I guess a century worth of beatings will do that to a fan base- classless.

If dan has success next year- he won't be there long.

His strategy won him one game. His team is staying home and losing the only offense they have (Dixon). Our team will be playing around New Year and returns many offensive and defensive weapons.

I wouldn't trade our coach for their's....would you?

Absolutley not! I didn't mean for it sound that way at all. Nutt is 10-2 in his career against State and I believe if any coach can dominate the Egg Bowl, its him. I was just saying that if Mullen wanted to force Ole Miss to notice MState and take them seriously, mission accomplished. I want to win the Egg Bowl very bad next year, maybe more than any other game and its because of him and what happened yesterday. I think he is a good coach, but he'll have to actually have a winning season and make MState a relevant program before I start thinking he may be better than Nutt.

Let Mullen go right ahead. His ridiculous over-emphasis on the Egg Bowl will backfire on him...it will do nothing but make his program look bush-league to recruits. While he gloats over the Egg Bowl trophy and proudly displays it to recruits, our coaching staff can boast over REAL bowl appearances and REAL bowl trophies.

I think MSU has more offense than they get credit for. Relf had 133 yds rushing and 2 td passes. Bumphis broke 5 tackles on his way to the endzone.

But part of that is because teams have to key on Dixon. Until they get a QB who can pass effectively it will be tough for them to compete in the SEC

Yeah...we've been there before, haven't we? And if they do sign him, I'd give every dollar in my bank account if Mullen would name him starting QB before he ever sets foot on campus like Coach O did.

He'll have to be a sure enough savior to help the pups. They are losing their only dependable player, and Relf will not be able to replicate what he did saturday without a valid threat in the backfield. I wonder how many games they threw away by saving Relf for the egg bowl. MooU is pathetic.

Really??? I don't think Snead passed effectively and I don't think McElroy passed effectively. Running the ball and great defense is key in the SEC. This is not the little 12!

Msu had a game plan of doing what they do best. That is all they did. Our def ends have not been oriented to that style offense and they got blocked all day. Don't let this game bother ya cause any team can get up only once or twice like that for a game in a season. I look at it more like when we beat Fla last year. If Msu had another game to play it would be like what Corso said about Ark before we played them. "they shot their wad last week". Congrats to msu for making it work but that game has nothing to do with where our program has come or where it is going.
