I don't know, I'd think, "That is patently false, and I under no circumstances am considering any other position" would carry a bit more weight than "that is such bull".Sasquatch wrote:WOW...the cluelessness knows no ends with you, does it?NotSausage wrote:Nope. I've already seen those quotes today, too.Sasquatch wrote:And here's a couple of quotes...straight from the horse's mouth....per Chuck at OM Spirit:
And another from Ole Miss AD Pete Boone:
Now....ARE WE DONE YET, LITTLE PIGGIE???
Regarding Pete, of course he wouldn't have been contacted if parties are speaking.
And regarding Houston, he didn't really answer the question, did he (of course, you didn't really post the actual question, but assume it was "Has your name been put into consideration for the Kansas job?")
Of course he would think it's bull that the public has already found out about his dealings.
In order for the KU AD to talk with Nutt about the job, he MUST have Boone's permission.
And what part of "that is such bull" does your tiny little mind NOT understand?
Moderators...PLEASE come take out the trash. My patience with this one has already hit its limit.
Nutt to Kansas?

So what you're basically saying is that because the WORDING didn't suit you, the denial is just not believable.

And actually, on second thought, this isn't entirely true. Kansas would have to have Pete's permission to contact Houston, but Houston contacted Kansas. That's between Houston and Pete. I think we know how that conversation's going to go.Sasquatch wrote: In order for the KU AD to talk with Nutt about the job, he MUST have Boone's permission.

I'm saying that the wording left wriggle room for him to deny denying it later. As the illustrious Bill Clinton once said, "it depends on what 'is' means".Sasquatch wrote:So what you're basically saying is that because the WORDING didn't suit you, the denial is just not believable.

What exactly was "bull"? The idea that he would leave, or the fact that it's out there?
You are REALLY grasping...where does it SPECIFICALLY state that Nutt contacted KU?NotSausage wrote:And actually, on second thought, this isn't entirely true. You truly are desperate to make a mountain out of a non-existent molehill when all you're entire argument is based on a possible interpretation of the term "bull"....which ANYONE with half a brain knows the meaning of.NotSausage wrote:I'm saying that the wording left wriggle room for him to deny denying it later. To be fair, I saw it in more than one place today, but looking back the only place I can see it is on KU board; one of their posters said Joe Schad said it. And I realize that puts it more in the realm of "rumor" (at least this portion of it). I don't have Insider so can't see his blog.Sasquatch wrote:You are REALLY grasping...where does it SPECIFICALLY state that Nutt contacted KU?NotSausage wrote:And actually, on second thought, this isn't entirely true. So, in other words, since you can't verify ANYTHING, you're COMPLETELY FULL OF CRAP.NotSausage wrote:To be fair, I saw it in more than one place today, but looking back the only place I can see it is on KU board; one of their posters said Joe Schad said it. Nice try, though.

These Arky fans need to worry more about their own house instead of someone else's. Bobby Petrino has had 14 different jobs in the past 26 years with the longest stay at one place being 3 years. However, with all the rumors floating around not once have I heard about Petrino being on anyone's wish list. Even Mullen has shown up on a couple of rumor lists.

In honor of Fox News' Shepard Smith, here's another fair and balanced retort:

Pete Boone/Shepherd Smith (you sure did ignore this one, didn't you?):
"One, nobody from Kansas has called me for permission to talk to Houston. Two, I am with Shepherd Smith, who had that rumor come across his desk. Shepherd called Houston. Houston told him 'I'm not interested in Kansas' which Boone already knew. I think it is just that time of year, when rumors about coaches start and, as Houston told you, it's a bunch of bull."

We're very comfortable with our house these days, thanks. The only Petrino on anyone's wish list other than Arkansas' is the OC, Paul Petrino. Our HC is pretty satisfied where he is. He's gotten everything he's asked for, from new stadium turf to a complete remodel of the practice rooms. So far, the only thing he didn't get that he wanted was your DC.RebnPhilly wrote:These Arky fans need to worry more about their own house instead of someone else's. NOT the KU AD....using a radio station in Arkansas as its primary source.
You might just want to let this one go...you're RAPIDLY making yourself look like a bigger fool every time you post.

Actually, you posted that same quote in the middle of page 5, and then, like now, I will respond that yep, I've see that quote.Sasquatch wrote:Pete Boone/Shepherd Smith (you sure did ignore this one, didn't you?):
