Seems Kansas contacted Nutt, discussed a possible offer, but after speaking with Jones and Boone, Nutt publicly said no thanks to Kansas.

You know, I just don't know how to take this. I guess when you grow up loving a place, you just assume that the coaches who lead the teams from that place love it just like you do. Well the reality is that most of the time, they do not.
Nutt is not unlike one hundred other division 1 coaches in the country. He wants to win it all and accomplish his dreams. He just does not care where he is at when he does it.
On one hand, I'm very thankful to have him. But I cannot help but wonder what it would be like to have a Paterno, Bowden, Pelini or even Weiss before Notre Dame canned him. A coach who loves the school and wants to build IT'S resume because it deserves it.
But hey, hired guns are fine too. Bama and Florida use them. And we know where their programs are now.

The climate has changed. It works both ways. Schools/fans/boosters don't give coaches a chance either. There is no loyalty anymore. The days of Paterno and Bowden no longer exist at least in the bigger conferences. Let Pelini have a couple of down years and let's see if the Husker fans don't start complaining. So now you have coaches going after short term gains (money, titles, etc). Can't really blame them. Weiss had a 10 year contract and look what that got him. None of that stuff matters anymore except for winning. I don't like it, but that just seems like how it is now.Chucky_38 wrote:You know, I just don't know how to take this. It is a fabrication from a sow's perspective.
Nutt did nothing wrong. At all. Listening to possibilties is generally a smart move. Doesn't mean you have to, or even intend to act on them. I'd have listened if I were him, but wouldn't have went. For the same reasons.
Furthermore, if my entire life had been spent (because the life he had in arky had to have seemed that way) trying to make it to a NC game (which is all but impossible there) and a possible scenario that might lead to that opened up, of course I'd listen.
But Kansas is not the place for it. Maybe one will open up some day, but hey... he had that shot at Nebraska... no, maybe he will just stay put and continue to whoop piggie booty...

ok, so we all think you are a bunch of insane lying obsessed people who would follow an ex-coach anywhere he goes to harass him and the fans of the team he coaches. the only part we may have overlooked is you weren't clever enough to make something like this up...Hawgfan101 wrote:Sasquatch wrote:Show me where we said that...put up or shut up.Hawgfan101 wrote:And you guys said this was a fabricated story by Arkansas fans...cajunrebel wrote:LOOK.AT.THE.SOURCE.

Heated discussion to say the least. Personally I don't trust nutt. He is a great coach, and has done an outstanding job in his first two years. However, coach Vaught he is not. We have two very talented coordinators here right now. If he does leave, I'm not crying like I did with Tommy.
Uh, I did not write that...you need to watch your cutting and pasting there little piggie!Hawgfan101 wrote:Rebchuck18 wrote:He's not going anywhere. I can't find that Kansas rumor anywhere so it is probably just something someone started just a kick out of somebody.
You guys really need to learn about a little thing called closure. You are like guys who say good riddance to their girlfriend but them obsess over every move she makes. Must be a really sad existence to only be able to pump your Liberty Bowl asses up by trying to tear others down.
Get a life..we are very happy with our coach...so happy that we do not even have ANY inclination to go dog Cutcliffe on Duke forums, Orgeron on Tennessee forums or Tuberville on any forum. Apparently 55 passes a game is still not enough for you guys to let go of the past.
Really, really sad!

Maybe you haven't read, HE ISN'T GOING TO KANSAS. Every person you quoted to prove your point WAS RIGHT. The arky fans claimed that Nutt contacted Kansas, which he did not, and that he was doing it for a raise, which he has not sought.Hawgfan101 wrote:Sasquatch wrote:Show me where we said that...put up or shut up.Hawgfan101 wrote:And you guys said this was a fabricated story by Arkansas fans...cajunrebel wrote:LOOK.AT.THE.SOURCE.

If like your brethren you continue to run over here and every other Ole Miss board you can find whenever something news worthy comes out regarding Coach Nutt, then NO you do NOT have a life. You guys are worse than a 16 year old jilted exgirlfriend. Your obsession with Coach Nutt borders on creepy.Hawgfan101 wrote:Rebchuck18 wrote:I did miss quote you, I do apologize.Hawgfan101 wrote: Uh, I did not write that...you need to watch your cutting and pasting there little piggie!

You are going to a bowl. Run on to Hogville or where ever you hang out and break your arms patting yourselves on the back. You have a new boyfriend in town in the way of Petrino. Go fawn over him.
