Hotty Freakin Toddy!!
LSU, you know where you can go!
SWEEEEEP!!!

The boys played with a lot of heart this weekend. They were down by decent margins in Games II and III and didn't give up. Way to go Rebs. The rest of the team picked up the slack when Pom and Barret didn't pitch well, and that is what makes a good team.

And Snyder reinjures his shoulder in post game celebration

Great weekend of baseball for the Rebels. Never, never would have guessed we were good enough to beat, let alone sweep this LSU team. Hope we can keep it up and make Omaha.
Great weekend to be a Rebel.
Great weekend to be a Rebel.
Foward Rebels! March to Fame!
Two comebacks and an extra-inning nail-biter. Maybe this is the boost they needed.

If you haven't seen the video, the Gators get their typical Ref/Ump help to win the game. Check this video out of the play at the plate.Rebchuck18 wrote:Gators took series finale from Arky!

BTW Congrats on Sweeping LSU. Great weekend for you guys.
This sweep was huge for our team! We are now tied for second in the west but were not yet in the position we need to be to host a regional. We need to go 9-3 or 8-4 in our final 12 sec games to accomplish that. I really hope the stupid move by snyder that re injured his shoulder doesn't make him miss a beat in his hitting because with him healthy we have a great offense. If our bats continue to swing, and our bull pin continues to help like it did this weekend, well be in great shape.

To be fair, Synder didn't do anything "stupid". There wasn't even a true dogpile. The guys swarmed the plate to congratulate Mort and each other, and Matt got jostled a bit and fell down.jrebel87 wrote:I really hope the stupid move by snyder that re injured his shoulder doesn't make him miss a beat in his hitting because with him healthy we have a great offense.

I disagree. I think as long as we finish in the top 20 in regular season, we will host. Ole Miss puts too many butts in the seats for the NCAA to turn down for a Regional if we are close to the top 16. I think if we were to finish 9-3, and do really well in the SEC Tournament, we may be looking at a top 8 seed, which means we will host a Regional and Super Regional (considering we win the Regional).jrebel87 wrote:This sweep was huge for our team! Our guys are hot right now. Let's just hope they can keep it up, because like RebChuck said, its all about getting hot at the right time.

I agree. If we finish, at worst, somewhere between 15 and 20 in the rankings, with an RPI in the same range, we will likely host based on what we can do monetarily in the eyes of the NCAA; of course, the argument could be made that it may/will take the finish jrebel87 predicted to do that; don't underestimate how much the losses to UALR and Memphis will affect our end of year RPI. The key now is to not drop another mid-week contest and to take care of business on the weekends.Heath wrote:I disagree. I think as long as we finish in the top 20 in regular season, we will host.
