Its far worse than even I predicted. I thought a close win for us, not...whetever that was. As I left the stadium, every Ole Miss fan had the same look: What was that? Losing at home to a 1AA team is something so unfathomable that I'm not even mad. I don't know what to think.
How do you dominate an offense for 2 quaters and then do...that?
Anyway, 6-6 will be a struggle. But we are rebuilding and Nutt is usually good for an upset win too. I'm still going to New Orleans next week. Hotty Toddy.
This is embarassing...

What's all this 'if Masoli plays, we gonna suck' stuff? Both qb's looked good to me. Nutt got way too conservative in the second half. He's got to shoulder some of the blame. We only threw the ball 20 times and it looked like they were doing well at throwing it.
Yes, the offense stalled in the second half, but a 21 point lead should be more than enough against any team, much less a D-II school, or FCS whatever the hell you wanna call it.
The vaunted D-Line wasn't getting any pressure in the 2nd half. The secondary might as well have stayed in bed this morning.
We had no penalties in the game. After hearing this I thought, "Of course there were no penalties. Especially pass interference. Every time they threw the ball the receiver was the only person on the TV screen. How does one get so open that he is the only person on the TV screen?"

People dont need to try to pin this on the QBs in any way.
1. Running backs looked really good. Ran hard, (Bolden made something out of nothing a few times)
2. QBs looked good overall.
3. WRs played well, I cant think of any drops or wrong routes
4. Offensive line did not run block very well at times. Pass blocking was decent, but it was against a FCS school...
5. Return team did a good job. Kickoff coverage could have been better.
6. Our defense should be as ashamed as any D in the history of the world.
7. DBs are as bad as any I can remember (including Justin Coleman)
8. The D line is supposed to be the best in the SEC and the strength of this team.. Pitiful 2nd half should feel horrible.
9. Linebackers did nothing special.
10. Did not force a single turnover against a FCS school who played a true freshman for the most part of their magical comeback.
11. Turned the ball over 3 times which was too many but that is not really why we lost
12. The egg bowl was not a fluke, NIX CANNOT DEFEND THE SPREAD. (look for every team we play to run some version of it from here out).
13. The coaching staff got out-coached.
14. You do not accept a five yard penalty to set up 2nd and 15 when you have 3rd and 10 as is.
15. There are other routes to run in the 2nd half other than go routes.
I think Stanley has said and done all the right things leading up to this game but I did not like his post game radio interview. If I wouldnt have known any better I would have thought Ole Miss won. He was talking about how good the O-line played and seemed to be just tickled that he had actually played. He talked about immediately switching focus to Tulane. I dont think we should dwell on this game but they have to learn from it. They should feel sick about losing to a FCS school and understand how embarrassing it is. THEN, move on. Use it as motivation for the rest of the season, but d*** sure dont just blow it off for something that just happens from time to time. It is healthy for a QB to show a little emotion if they are truly the leaders of the team. I wonder if Tim Tebow would have had a similar reaction to losing to a FCS school... Nutt called a crappy 2nd half but 21 points should have been enough to beat that team.

I can agree with that. What I'm dissapointed the most in is the complete lack of physical play in the second half, namely the defense. It bothers me so much because I know they're better than that.

My Lord, I don`t even know what to say, other than I am totally disgusted. I know our athletes are better than that. Somebody did not get them prepared, or we quit when we got up by 20.

I, for one, would like to thank you and all the other Ark fans for letting us know ahead of time how the Nutt era at Ole Miss would play out. On behalf of the OM community, I would like to sincerely apologize to the Ark fanbase for calling you crazed, delusional, gay, morons, gilted ex-girlfriends, gay, weird, creepy, and gay for the last few years. I'd also like to formally say you told us so. Thank you so much for telling us about Nutt. I've already filed my FOIA request and will be booking a plane to fly overhead with a banner every game for the rest of Nutt's tenure. Thank you so much.dogcards5 wrote:These reactions, of disgust and overall sickness... remind me of how I once felt when we had Nutty on our sidelines. It's like going back in time to the Razorbacks seasons 2003-2007. What's sad is many of us tried to describe this inevitable outcome to you guys a couple of years ago. I completely understand why you couldnt see it then... it's hard to see this coming during the honeymoon... Nutt always gives Fans false hope before ripping their hearts out. Did any of you guys have your vision restored yesterday or are you all still blind to the Nutt reality? If its anything like it was for us its going to continue to make you sick watching the Rebs spiraling the drain! I on the other hand know he'll still manage to beat us or someone else he's not supposed to (that will stop being enough for most of you after days like yesterday and more of them are coming).

And like someone on NAFOOM said, do you Ark people think that if Nutt "falls apart" here like he did at your school that we will somehow become buddy-buddy with y'all? I've got plenty of friends. I don't need the red-headed stepchild of the SEC to be my friend.
And as disappointed as I am with yesterday's dickless coaching, I'm not on the FIRE NUTT bandwagon just yet. Now, if Nix's vaunted D doesn't show up @ Tulane, I'll be calling for his head, but I hope that we'll come out *beep* off and rape them. However, after yesterday, my apathy level just went through the roof so who the hell knows.

Well ya'll....... I was in the student section yesterday and I've never been around so many ticked off kids in my life yelling some very colorful language. Could be a longgggg season..... hotty toddy.
Most of the students were gone by the time the game ended. Hell, everyone thought it was over at halftime, including jacksonville states own coach! All he told his team at half was they better play a little better or their gonna run alot on monday? Are you serious? Thats all it took to rip the rebel nations heart out of their chest and step on it? Running? Another note: Most fans aren't the same kind of mad like they are when we lose to a auburn or lsu, this is beyond that, this is so shocking that its hard to even be mad about this. We do one of 2 things, one, we get *beep* about this and move forward and destroy everyone ahead of us until bama, or we stay depressed and go 2-10 this season. That could easily happen. Espn is showing the upset highlights every 10 minutes.
It's Bryce Drew all over again!!!

I feel that Nutt's play calling was sound. We were up by 21 mutherfreekin' points at the half!!! To continue to try and run up the score in the second half against a far inferior (and the outcome does not change that!) team would be classless imo. You run the ball and eat up the clock, if you get stopped, the D takes care of business and you continue cruising and let your 2nd team offense get some experience too. If we were playing bama or lsu then yeah, you keep your foot on the pedal! Against an fcs team? Please!!!
What happened is completly on the heads of our Defense. I hate to say it, but its true. I have a bad feeling that what was said about Nix defending against the spread is true. If our defense does not get righted, it will be impossible for our offense to score enough points to maintain a "W".

Does everyone in AR stalk their ex-girlfriends and wives (sisters and cousins)? Do you ALL call up their new lovers and tell them what a louzy lay she was? She can't cook? and she has VD+? You GOT your divorce...paid your 3 million in child support. Now go away..and get you some from your new lover...before he leaves in the night.
If I hated everything NUTT, the last place I would be is on an OM message board. But then, I graduated 6th grade.
