Losing to JSU can be written off. Losing to Vandy will NOT be acceptable in my opinion
I Thank you.

the thing that is most disappointing to me is Masoli hasn't looked like his old self this year. I dont know if it is the different level of play or what, but he doesn't look like the same person on the field.IMAREBL wrote:I know exactly what to say! Our offense isn't as potent as Oregon... And it never will be.BigDeal wrote:the thing that is most disappointing to me is Masoli hasn't looked like his old self this year. Not one time was Vandy surprised on anything we ran. They appeared to looking for almost every running play we had. Were they stealing our signals?

Yep......all 5 of them.

Masoli wasn't behind a high school line at Oregon like he is at Ole Miss, either.GoneToOxford wrote:Our offense isn't as potent as Oregon... we have a winner!! At one point I was hoping Stanley would enter the game but I don't think there was any way he could have done as good as Masoli as poor as the o-line played.

Nothing against Ole Miss, but Houston Nutt left us because he had not been able to have us ranked in the top 20 in 9 of 10 years (end of season) When McFadden, Jones, Hillis and Monk left, he had nothing because he can't recruit quarterbacks and no receivers want to play ball where you run off tackle plays every down. You have seen the best you are going to be with Houston Nutt. You will never be ranked, you will have a good running game. Here is the quote you need to get used to hearing. "Man, if we could have that play over again, I'm just proud of our seniors, this conference just has so many great teams you have to buckle both chin straps." After Bobby Patrino recruited his players and got rid of Houston's players, we have made progress every year, while Ole Miss was loaded and has now started heading South. YOU FREAKIN LOST TO JACKSONVILLE STATE and Vandy! You have seen the last of the glory days with Houston Nutt. Its really a shame when this could make for a great rivalry game every year.
We are all well aware of your state's obsession with Nutt. All of your cousins have been here and told us the same thing. Why don't you all just enjoy your new family and forget about the ex-wife? You're winning for now. Savor it. the past? Let it go.

rebel, you are right this state is definitely obsessed with Nutt. I read this board a lot as I do for other teams in the SEC. There are a lot of posts to this board from Arkies (as they are called) that are antagonizing to you guys. I understand. I really believe that most Hog fans don't wish bad things for Rebel fans. I just think that we went so long to make the decision to get rid of Nutt that we feel pretty stupid looking back. You guys won't make that mistake if a trend develops, I can assure you of that. One year does not make a trend. What is important is the team building for the future and I am not close enough to your program to have an opinion. This is a tough league and with things that are on the horizon that could really change things, all SEC teams need to be ready. By the way, whoever made all of those earlier obscene posts should be banned. See you guys in Fayetnam later this year.
That's fine. I thought we could all have a mature discussion on what YOU now have as a coach. If you choose to start your period while talking football, you get what you deserve. SEE YOU IN FAYETTEVILLE. Make sure to bring your tampons.
