Rule #1.......Don't panik
There is a lot of differing of opinions on whether Bama falls once this year or cleans house for the third time in 3 years.
I say they fall once this year....maybe....and what I'd give to have it be at our hands, at their Homecoming...won't hold my breath, but I can dream.

We beat Notre Dame in 77 b/c those catholics came down to Mississippi in a very hot September and died by the fourth quarter, even god could not save them that day.03rebs wrote:As I recall, we beat top ranked Notre Dame in 1977, not to mention UF in 2008. Not saying we will do it again, but it can happen. I can only hope.

As much as i would love to be optimistic about the bama game i just can't. In 08 we went to gainsville with a defense that started clicking that day and had alot of experience and alot of pride. Our defense this year has neither. It would take a act of god just for us to even stay in the game against bama. They truly have no weaknesses. I fully expect the game to go into halftime with bama up 17-7, maybe even 17-10 or so. But where bama beats you is in the 2nd half when their physical backs and defense just pounds on you and pounds on you until you give way and they roll over you. We have so many injuries to our defense and not only that but we will most def. not keep up our scoring 40 points a game against them. Their just way to good for that to happen. The best thing for us to do is to play with enough pride to where we can look at the final score and say "well at least they didn't demolish us" , i would be happy and content and the team could gain some positives out of only losing to bama 35-20 or maybe 31-17. We know we can move the ball against every remaining team on our schedule besides bama. We know we have alot of injuries but if our defense can get thru next week intact then they can improve and we can hope for a bowl.

You guys might as well not watch the game then since you already know the outcome. I really have a different feeling about this game and I will leave it at that. Maybe something special will happen, who knows. I do have fond memories of beating Florida, and remember, nobody is invincvible. We might have been looking too far ahead the entire time. If HDN can pull this off, then I am a fan for life!

I usually just pass right over ignorant posts, but this one was so absurd that I had to stop and take a moment to smack you upside the head. You have no idea what you are talking about. As for experience, our defense has WAY more combined starts than our offense. I promise you that next Saturday when we go into BDS, the Ole Miss defense that takes the field will have more experience than the Alabama defense (which has zero senior starters and only two seniors on the two-deep roster).
And as for pride.....well, say that to their face.
I don't mind you saying they aren't as talented, or as physical, or as gifted, or as big, or as fast, or as well coached. But don't say we lack experience when we don't. And don't accuse these guys of lacking pride. The only coward in this conversation is you.

lol your right i used the wrong word when i said they didn't have pride let me rephrase that: this defense doesn't have the 'it' factor that the defense of 08 and 09 had. Second of all, the comment about our experience isn't true anymore seeing as how we have our best pass rusher out for the year and our whole defensive secondary is new with no full year experience! Combine those two factors against a alabama defense that is so hard hitting that they scare their opponents before they even step on the field and your in trouble. These guys do have pride, they don't have the capability to play as good as previous years because there is no greg hardy, there is no jerrel powe, there is no kendrick lewis, there is no marshay green. At the beginning of the year what you said would be true had we not been decimated by injuries, but we are.

FYI: When you refer to GOD you push your shift button. If your not a beleiver then saying the word GOD is pointless because you think HE does not exist.
And you're supposedly a trainer for the football team??? RRRIIIIIIIIIGGHHHHTjrebel87 wrote: These guys do have pride, they don't have the capability to play as good as previous years because there is no greg hardy, there is no jerrel powe, there is no kendrick lewis, there is no marshay green.

wildthang80 wrote:It was a JP game, early kick off. It was Tim Tebow, it was in Gainesville. We had lost to Vandy, Wake Forrest, we had NO CHANCE. We sat down to watch it, in the back of our minds was the Ark-LSU game the year before. We did'nt have McFadden or Jones for that matter, but we watched it anyway. This Florida team was invincible, the coach is a legend, they were the best--national champs. Why even play the game? We were going to lose--BADLY. That didn't happen. Just gives you a small glimmer of hope for the next game. Bama looks invincible, so well coached and full of the best players America has to offer.
and what did Florida do after that loss?
The difference this year is that we are the team AFTER they lost......
