Something is wrong with our coaching staff apparently. I just saw this stat yesterday and its very alarming: Since sweeping moo-u last year, we are 2-7 in sec series. And heres a even worse statistic: WE ARE 0-5 AGAINST SEC WEST TEAMS going all the way back to last year. We haven't won a series against a sec west team in over 11 months. That is truly sad. So it seems to me that something is wrong here. Why are we so horrible against sec west teams all of a sudden? And this isn't just this year, it goes back to last year. Has bianco lost something?

By the way florida, our next opponent, swept bama this weekend. Whoa...this is going to be ugly. We are going to get bombarded and its going to be bad. Realistically we will be 9-12 after this weekend in the sec. Add in losing all 3 or at best 2 out of 3 to arky the next week, and it seems we will be 10-14. Unless the rebels surprise everyone and play well, this will be our fate.

To answer your question: no, it is not time to part ways with Bianco. Has this year been underwhelming? No doubt. Are we as fans frustrated watching this team routinely make the same mistakes that have cost us close games? Yep. But MB, who built the program, deserves a shot at a bounce back year in 2012.

Now as for his staff, MB needs to take a good hard look at Mossberg and possibly the new guy, McConnell. Lafferty is doing a hellava job, imo, on the recruiting trail, though I will admit I would like to see us return to cherry-picking the state and the Memphis area. Mossberg has done nothing as the hitting coach and McConnell I believe is handling the infield coaching responsibilities, which has obviously seen a dip in production on the defensive side, all of which cannot be attributed to youth. I think MB needs to be given a "modified Cutcliffe ultimatum" regardless of how the season plays out: hire some new blood or face the consequences after the 2012 season.

BTW, we play @ arkansas the last weekend of the season; we get the "pleasure" of hosting South Carolina next weekend. Btw, Arkansas dropped 2/3 to UK, fwiw.

Yeah thats my bad I meant to say sc not arky. And yes I agree, I think that the defensive fielding has been atrocious. I mean look at the errors alone. We have had over 20 (yes,20!) errors in the past 3 and a half weeks. That is no good. We need some type of change.

When did the head coach get the tight to blame the assistants? He hired them and it is his responsibility to make sure they do their job. This isn't football, with lots of players and coaches. He has three assistants. If that's too many to handle, then we're in real trouble. MB's on field decisions hurt us as much as anything.
