This is his Texas Tech 10 years
"Leach never had a losing season, guided the Red Raiders to a bowl every year, had eight consecutive seasons with at least eight wins and had six quarterbacks combine to throw for 47,633 yards and 377 touchdowns."
He can wear a freaking eyepatch on the sideline if he can win.

"He only won because he outscored opponents"
That's the idea.
That's the idea.
Do all the talkin about coaches you want right now but when they choose one, and i'm sure they will, we need to all be on board with him whether we like the choice or not. I'm sure I will be surprised by the choice and I do hope it is one I like. Yet if it isn't, I will still back him 100%!

Your right. We should just go get a coordinator or a small time coach.. They can win in the sec... Get real and think... Use the ole noggin
Leach has won every where he has been. When he was OC at Kentucky the team set 4 NCAA records, 42 SEC records and 116 school records. And he will be able to bring in a quarterback/. Not saying he would be my first choice but he has proven he can win. He also has a law degree and is an intellegent guy.
I've seen this argument against Leach quite a bit and it stinks. At the end of the 2008 season, we could have beaten practically anyone in the country. Losing to us in a bowl game would not have been shameful. The fact that Houston let that team lose 4 games was criminal. There's a reason we were ranked #4 the following preseason. It was predicated off of that 2008 team.BobReb wrote: WE beat him... With Houston Nutt...

Explain to me then, while he had all this success (offensively) he could never field a good D?
Bama and LSU were both pretty much murdering opponents until they met each other. Ended with a very low score, because the both play D.
Just saying, If ML is the guy, he will have to get a top notch DC or it won't work, not in this conference.

We had NFL players on defense who learned the fundamentals under, sadly, special Ed we were a good team. A top-five team at that time.Tarv wrote:I've seen this argument against Leach quite a bit and it stinks. At the end of the 2008 season, we could have beaten practically anyone in the country.
