I'm glad bleu dropped back in, welcome. Hoping Sasquatch comes back too.

IMAREB, I don't know. You're right though, there will always be some over-zealous and some who get upset.

How to fix the fanbase? It'll be a lot of work, more than I am about to imply, but the one thing we all agree on is we need a winner. If Nutt finishes the year off with at least an Egg Bowl win, it won't take until the end of August to start the healing. Otherwise yeah, it's going to be a long offseason, and I expect things to get heated on this board, the cussin' board, between us and other school's fans especially whoever's coach we nab, and definitely with state fans more this offseason than ever before because no matter which way the egg bowl goes "it was nutt's last year."

All I can see is winning the first few games nex season is the way we get all bak together... The way it is right now an egg bowl win doesnt mean much... It a shor celebration because as soon as the game is over we must start over with a new coach... Or hopefully we will have it filled by then

I was excited to see Archie over the "hiring committee", until I recently saw it publicized several places that Dan Jones is reserving the ultimate decision for who is hired/offered the coaching job. While that makes sense on some level, I frankly don't trust Dan Jones to make a wise decision.

I keep hearing from connections close to Oxford that Rich Rodriguez is a front runner, which scares the hell out of me. I think that would be a potential bad hire. Of the so-called "realistic" names I've heard, Skip Holtz would be my personal favorite.

Anyone else heard any Rich Rodriguez rumors? I heard he's been contacted by Ole Miss.
he has stated that he would be interested, but hard to see that happening. he has the WV baggage and also could not win in a weak b10.

To address all these comments about Archie influencing ELI to go to Ole Miss, Archie had some influence for sure, but I believe Olivia influenced Eli more than anyone. She is very close to Eli, whereas Peyton and Cooper are very close to Archie. You know how families work, at least most families.
Nothing taken away from Archie, the whole Manning clan is a top notch example of good people.
