Think we could get Patterson? I mean, why would he leave TCU who will be joining Big 12 next year, a BCS conference? In the Big 12, he can get to NC and not have to go through the teams that he would in the SEC. I think we would have to pay him loooooooots of $$$$ to move to Oxford. With that said though, I would love to have him!

Would be nice, and I never say never, but Patterson is not going anywhere, he and his family are right were they want to be and will stay for as long as TCU will allow him.
You guys are not getting patterson.......for some reason he LOVES TCU....and ole miss would not pay him enough to get him......but he is a very good coach!

Patterson is in a very good situation, he loves the school, and the school loves him, but probably the most important thing, his wife is huge in the community and has NO desire to go anywhere else.

The reason he loves TCU is because it is a small Private close knit school that puts tons of emphasis on their sporting image, not just football, but they have an outstanding baseball program. The Athletic Department is top notch. They are in the process of upgrading/adding on to Amon Carter Stadium and it is going to one of the best in the country (aesthetically speaking) when they get through, they have shown over the last decade that they are willing to commit to their Athletic programs and have the big time donors to back it up.

Like I said, never say never, but from what I know and have been told about the situation; Patterson is right where he wants to end his coaching career.
