I'm working out of my house in a casino job that requires a lot of emailing and as time goes on travel. I just hit a 700 dollar keno spot in the bar the other night and am putting 200 away for my OM trip in 2 weeks. With the rest, I really need something else to do my work on. Currently using my old powerbook for work, new one for life. Mixed priorities I know but there's a long story behind it.
Has anyone had any success utilizing tablet computers, particularly the ipad 2, for work purposes? Has it worked well for you?
Anyone got an opinion?
Would you use an ipad for work?

Don't tell on yourself while your working for the casino...remember my daughter is a gaming agent...I would hate for her to have to arrest a fellow faithful member. hahahampzreb17 wrote:I'm working out of my house in a casino job that requires a lot of emailing and as time goes on travel. LoL if we weren't licensed for casino marketing you'd have me running for the hills. Fortunately it's only illegal to play where you work. At least here anyway.
Does she do that in Mississippi? I might bug you down the road for a reference, don't tell on yourself! Cheers

Ugh - are you drinking the Kool-Aid? I've got a Xoom, not great for work, but great for checking e-mail and doing little stuff. I'm still trying to figure out the fascination with all things Apple. I think Macintosh roughly translates to "pain in my rear"...

I would much rather use a computer over an iPad. Word processors excell power point and access are all much easier and more things you can do on a regular computer. Not to mention thy don't run java or other things where you can't view all the websites available.
