Is it possible that we have hired Smart but we are waiting to announce until the AP polls come out Sunday? Could Alabama have asked us to wait...concerned with this causing issues with votes and bid to the National Championship game? Just a thought.

Could be possible, but I don't think loosing a DC is gonna change the fact Alabama is the No2 team in the nation. Maybe we are actually going through the process and or they are hiring a coach who already has a job and he wants to coach his championship game, who knows.
