As long as he's not a run first type. No knock, but we haven't had a lot of success with them.

Run first is all that works in the SEC. But this year, Freeze's offense ran slightly more than that it passed actually. If he studies and sees what works and doesn't in the SEC and adapts accordingly, it can work. I sure would like to see him hire some coaches with SEC experiences to help him but so far it looks like he is going with a mostly sun belt staff.

I typed too soon. There are rumblings that he will hire Frank Wilson as offensive coordinator. That would be an awesome step.

Dane Crist is looking for landing spot? Or would that Be Jeremiah 2.0? He needs a QB for sure. We got receivers, they just need to go to class.

^^ This I would be in favor of. He would not take long to get accustomed to the system because Brian Kelly runs the same kind of fast paced up tempo offense. Less questions about his character and he could come in during the spring and actually win the battle (which with our current QB situation shouldnt be too hard) which makes it totally different than Masoili. That being said probably not going to happen.

From what I understand it is one of those deals where he has graduated but would gain eligibilty with the grad school that did not have the same program. That would be the one thing that would make him similar to Masoil.

I agree, QB is very, very, very high on the list, but he better be concernced about building depth. Other than the WR and maybe DB position, I have trouble filling out a two deep roster right now.

He started the first few games of the season and then was replaced by a young and up and comer. He can transfer and play right away because hes graduating this spring. He wouldnt be the risk like Masoli was, and it would give him time to get a guy in he can use in the future.

Masoli did a great job for OM. Not his fault we couldnt defend anyone, or the the WR could not catch the ball, or that the oline couldnt block a worm. Anyway dont want a short term fix.Let another program take the hit. when we make mistakes at least let them be new ones.

As far as his assistants go. Remember at Auburn when Tubby hired Ron Franklin as OC and he Wouldn't let him bring any of his offensive coaches with him. The problem was he was using coaches that were pro style coaches for his spread attack. It didn't work for a couple of reasons was but the main one was he had to teach not only the players his system but the coaches how to coach it. It failed but everywhere else Franklin has been he has been successful.

I think a coach should bring in the people who fit with his system and his philosophy. I don't care if they are this or that as long as Freeze knows why he is hiring them.
