I was not thrilled with this at first. However number 1 this is a title only. He is here to coach QB's which he is very good at. Freeze is the OC plain and simple. Second from what I have read in other places. Werner wanted to run a completely differnt offense the first time but the bafoon only wanted the USC offense run despite Werner trying to tell him we did not have the personell to do it.jrebel87 wrote:I don't know how I feel about this move.........he was offensive coordinator in orgerons last two years.

Could have done worse. Werner is a smart guy and if he is just focusing on quarterbacks I think he will be effective in getting 2-3 quarterbacks that we will have (out of the potential 7) fit to run Freeze's spread-type offense. We all know he won't be calling plays, and he has proved he can develop quarterbacks. I'm not sure of his recruiting ability but I don't think he'll have too much responsibility on that end (maybe 4-5 guys in his area of coaching).
