Finally, we respond!

Just saw a new billboard in oxford that says "the road to the superbowl goes through Ole Miss", and it shows Patrick Willis, Michael Oher, Eli Manning, and BenJarvus Green-Ellis. They represent all four teams playing for a spot in the superbowl.

Just to clarify...this is not a response to lil ole Mullen. This is just a statement of fact!
True, but it was time to set the record straight. Now we need to do it on the field and leave the posturing to the cowbells.Rebchuck18 wrote:Just to clarify...this is not a response to lil ole Mullen. This is just a statement of fact!

That would be playing their little petty game. I can't think of anyone I would want to impress in Starkville. Now if we want to put them in Texas and Florida I will chip in!GS1953 wrote:I will chip in to put a billboard in Stinkville, excuse me I mean Starkville....

If I were to chip in on a billboard, I would want it to say things like this:
Most Rhodes Scholars
Nationally Ranked Law School, Med School, Business School, Journalism, etc.
We have art galleries, they have pictures their kids drew and hung on the walls at a Shoney's.
We have fine restaurants, dives and everything in between. They have crappy box chains.
We are culture. They work agriculture.
Football is something that will ebb and flow with wins and losses as history has shown us, but when it comes to the tangibles, their sorry asses will never have one up on us and it chaps their badonkas. It's not worth the energy to argue with somebody about a product that we know to be inferior. That would be like me arguing with Warren Buffet and the Donald and telling them that I have more money than they do.

I'm not a big fan of putting a billboard in STARKville, but I do think one of whichever Rebel wins the Superbowl holding up the Lombardi Trophy that says, "The University of Mississippi, where REAL champions are born" would be nice. Especially if it was strategically placed so that their idiot coach would have to drive by it everyday.

I agree with you man. Standards smandards, you don't just stand there and let a little guy punch you in the gut over and over, you kick him outta the way and remind him you are bigger.

Yes, but the most effective way to do that is to shut up, get better and beat them on the field.....not on silly billboards. If you leave them be they will eventually drown under the weight of their own pettiness....or the NCAA will step in.Chucky_38 wrote:GS1953 wrote:I surrender....You guys are right....That would just be lowering ourselves to their standards......Hotty Toddy
