SEC suspends Trae Elston
Moderator: Rebel Security
what bugs me is that the SEC apparently doesn't trust their official who was feet from the play to make the call.jeff967 wrote:looks like football to me

We all know they would have suspended a Bama or LSU player for the same hit....

the SEC has said that there is no appeals process for this decision.bleuwolfe wrote:Like Shay's catchBIG CLINT wrote:Pure plain and simple BS. If we are gone start going back and over turning calls, lets go back to some BS calls that was against us.
Can this be appealed by the Univ?
How about the play where our player lands on top of a fumble, comes out of the pile with the ball, and the refs give it to UTEP?! To be the premiere conference of college football the SEC does some stupid BS sometimes.

Still the best hit in years by an Ole Miss player. Keep it up Coach freeze, we like it!!!
Just another day being better than State.
Appears to me a good hard clean hit.......If this is a violation of Rule 9-1-3, 9-1-4 and Section 4-2-2(d) of the bylaws
then why isn't some officials being suspended and not drawing a check this coming weekend for not throwing
a flag???

Yes. If it was a missed call, the SEC Office should have taken it up with the ref when they review film or whenever. Do any of you out there not think that Slive and Co. will do everything possible to ensure the Alabama-LSU showdown again? The rest of the league should be on notice. Don't expect the calls to go your way when you play either of these teams. And don't expect Slive and Co. to look kindly on teams that have made lots of hiring mistakes in the past suddenly becoming competitive with a good hire and threatening the upper echelon. This suspension is way out of line and does nothing to bolster the 'integrity' of the SEC Office. Roy Kramer had his favorites, and it's obvious Slive is all about protecting the money and little else.jrhawki wrote:Appears to me a good hard clean hit.......If this is a violation of Rule 9-1-3, 9-1-4 and Section 4-2-2(d) of the bylaws
