I bow to your superior knowledge of everything quarterback. Sorry to question you.batman50 wrote:lewindha wrote:We get it, you hate Wallace. It's his third game in Division I and he's playing the number 12 team in the nation. Are there things that need to be fixed? Sure, but I think he's done well so far this year.batman50 wrote:Really? Wow. He has stared them down the entire game. But I guess bc he's tall that makes it alright? Yeah, your logic makes sense to me.
I'm really looking forward to seeing Walton for the next few years. He's electrifying!!!!
And you get your wish, Brunetti is in.
No. I don't hate Wallace. But someone on here has said "the offense is fine with bo" when that just isn't true with the current situation. So no, you don't get it.

I never claimed to know it all, however if you choose to bow that is on you. I will not turn you away. LOL. Just tryin to lighten the mood there. I don't hate Bo, i'm just surprised to see him doing this. I expected the small Defense, I expected to be over powered a little bit. I didn't expect our QB to stare down the receivers for the entire game. I'm just surprised is all, and some seem to think that isn't a problem

He does stare down receivers. He is also the qb for the job right now. We got a long way to go, but I think we'll get there.batman50 wrote:I never claimed to know it all, however if you choose to bow that is on you. I will not turn you away. LOL. Didn't say it wasn't a problem. He's been sacked I don't know how many times. He's had Longhorns in the backfield all night. All that, and the offense(which Bo leads) still scored 24 points. I know he didn't personally score 24.
So, yes, I think the offense is in good shape. Are we gonna get crushed by LSU and Bama, yes. Telegraphed passes probably aren't high on my list of worries against those teams.

Congratulations to our new record breaking staff. Most points ever given up by an Ole Miss defense. I can hear the excuses already. We certainly have as much talent as Wyoming or new Mexico. This team was woefully and inadequately prepared. Worst performance I have ever seen. And I've seen some stinkers.

Dear Tyrone Nix...we apologize. Turns out our defense could get worse.

Its not a game plan issue. It's a talent issue. Our guys were attacking the football and in position all night. At the end of the day there are some things huge hearts just can't overcome. We don't tackle well. We don't have enough lead in our pants. And I don't knock another coach for not laying on the ball with a lead when they were supposed to be playing a comparable team. We aren't savannah state. Recruit bigger faster stronger and do something about it.

Our Defense was horrible, to say the least. Their Offense molested our Defense. Their backs ran at will and our secondary stil hasn't figured out we were playing a game. Look at some of the holes their backs had and when they didnt have a hole, we couldnt wrap up.
Bo was under pressure on every play, while Ash had plenty of time. We put 31 points on the board and got blew out. That's crazy. Texas came prepared.
We 've got a lot of work ahead of us, but we have to take this as a learning experience. We are in the middle of a major rebuilding season, and I feel that this will only help us grow. Even though it sucked, i watched every play. Im hopeing this brief vent will help me un wined for bed. Hotty Toddy!!

Good Post! I agree 100%
There's always gonna be idiots that's gonna bash the coach and *beep* and moan, but it's ok. We are young and very talented. Gotta give props to Texas.
Hugh Freeze is a good coach and I stand behind the man 100%

I'm this close to being done with this board entirely. I've never seen such moany whiney bit chy bullsh it in my life and I teach high school. Some of y'all are so damned deluded into thinking we're somehow in this upper echelon of college football that you automatically blame anything to make up for the fact that we have almost zero talent on both sides of the ball. The game plan was sound on offense AND defense. I can see that without having to have "decades of football knowledge" that the rest of y'all seem to have. We simply don't have the talent at the moment. But y'all keep the bit chfest going. Keep blaming the coaches and looking for anything at all to get pis sed about when those coaches acknowledge our talent issues. After all, y'all know more than they do--that's why you all coach major college football. It's pathetic, and you're the cancer that has plagued Ole Miss for so long. Have fun getting zero enjoyment out of this team and staff /end rant
I had no problems with texas still playing to win after they had it won. It was ok that they called for a punt block after they had hung over 50 on us. It was ok they still threw a few bombs, one for a td after they had hung over 50 on us. It was ok their starters were still in there at the 5 min mark. It was ok that after the 5 min mark the 2nd string played to score until they hit the 1 yd line. I understand that. they came to play and play they did. Yet i did not appreciate how the announcers called it class when they took a knee after they witnessed the punt block, the bombs and starters in that long with over 50 on the board.
The first 5 min of the game showed how it was going to end up. I'm glad our players didn't quit and tried to make a game of it. Freeze is playing a lot of freshmen and soph with many of them just not big enough to play the position he has to ask them to. I do believe with their attitude they will win a few more games but Texas came to make a statement to the entire sec not just us. They were much bigger and faster. We had heart but that wasn't enough. This wasn't a feel good underdog movie. This was football. I like our coach and I have respect for our players because of how they handled this game. I can't say that about last year's team at any given moment. Freeze is going in the right direction and it isn't done over night.

Our offense scored 31 in spite of Bo having an off night. Bo is not our problem he is our best hope. You can see enough to know he has all the tools. On defense we were out manned and out coached and this staff needs to stop telling this team they aren't good enough.batman50 wrote:I never claimed to know it all, however if you choose to bow that is on you. 1st of all BO only helped us get 21. Brunetti & Moncrief got us in place for 3 & special teams got us 7.Rebchuck18 wrote: Our offense scored 31 in spite of Bo having an off night. & I don't recall CHF saying we weren't good enough. Paraphrasing his comments is not "telling his team they aren't good enough"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bo had a crappy night & he is the only poster child you haven't torn from the wall yet. It's about time for equal share if you are going to rip every other member of our team. I believe Bo would be the 1st to tell you he was not very good last night.
He, nor any other member of our team, or staff, quit last night!!!!!!! That was 1 of those wonderful moral victories we haven't had in a long time.
I am on the golf course if the Rebels aren't on the field.
