That said, there's no reason why we can't have an entertaining game this weekend and a dang good SEC atmosphere.
3 TDs sounds about right.

A&M has some nice talent, but they do not "have the talent to beat anyone in the SEC". And that QB that they are so proud of does make some amazing plays, but once he goes against the elite defenses of the SEC, when he tries to make something out of nothing by running backwards 20 yards, instead of an amazing play he is going to turn a ten yard loss into a 30 yard loss. We aren't one of those elite defenses so he may make some huge plays against us on those, but I think that an awakening is looming somewhere down the line.

And the idea that 'Bama and LSU are the only elite programs in the SEC is ludicrous. The last two or three years they've had things go their way, but that won't always be the case. May not be the case this year even. There are also rich, winning traditions at Georgia, Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, Arkansas and Ole Miss down through the years. National championships, league titles, number of bowl appearances and wins nationally, Heisman winners, players in the NFL--they're all there. South Carolina has come on strong under Spurrier the last eight years. Only Kentucky, Vandy and Miss. State historically don't fall into that category. But no team in the SEC can be taken for granted these days.

I wasn't all that gung-garden tool on further expansion of the SEC with A & M and Missouri. But it's too early to tell how that's going to pan out long-term. For A & M fans to go on any SEC board and talk smack the way some of the Aggies on here have is just an 'eating crowfest' waiting to happen. Trust me.

Okay, enough of this. A and m: you want to talk about how your team is a world beater and is going to come in and beat us by 50? What...are we supposed to be afraid of you? Let me enlighten you; we have been members of the best conference in the country since its founding. We have defeated every single one of its members multiple times. We have nearly 200 more all time wins then our little brother down south. We have won 20 bowl games. We have played tougher opponents year in year out then your team has seen this entire past decade. We have lived in the same division as lsu and Alabama....we aren't the least bit afraid of you and if you think Saturday will be easy then you have another thing coming

TX = braggadocio, they are the best in the world at that. Rebels prefer to play football, not talk.

You are correct! He is a tool. I only came over to your site to get a feel for your university and the passion of your fans and your viewpoint on how this weekend may turn out. I then ran across this thread. It is unbelievable how some of my fellow ags behave. To come over to your site and post garbage above only leads to two conclusions. One, they don't have manners because this was very rude -- as are other bragadocious posts. Two, they have drunk too much maroon Koolaid. Most ags are very very happy right now because this season is going much better than they anticipated but they should keep some sense of perspective. We are full of repressed excitement because of the last decade of mediocrity. It is bubbling over right now. However, we take each win with a sense of gratitude. I never expected to be close to Florida nor did I expect to put so many points on Arkansas. If we so happen to pull out a win this weekend I will also be gratefull and if we don't I hope we play well enough to be close. The SEC is the best conference to play in as you point out.

Please don't use these posts to paint with a broad brush the rest of the Aggie faithful.

I am very dissappointed not to be able to make the roadtrip to Oxford this year. I want to visit every school in the SEC and experience the excitement, traditions, and hospitatlity of most schools. I hear your school is very beautiful and would love to have a few beers with ya'll and learn more about the SEC and Ol Miss.

Good luck this weekend. I hope it is an exciting game.

looking at recruiting this year and in previous years, I'd say that Texas is the only one that might be able to "cherry-pick the best recruits in Texas". It looks like Baylor does about as well as A&M for the rest after Texas has had their choice and Oklahoma seems to be in contention with you for the best-of-the-rest as well.

A & M made a good move coming to the SEC. I can understand why Aggie fans got tired of being told how far back to stand in line by the Horns. That said, this league rarely offers a weekend off. So get used to being challenged when you fully expect it and when you least expect it. And Teddy Roosevelt had it right: "Speak softly and carry a big stick!"

I am not trying to troll here, but so far that means everyone they have played so far sucks...

Either way, I hope we play a good clean game and no one gets hurt... That and and Aggie win wouldn't be too bad either. Thanks for the welcome for those that have welcomed us and I look forward to many more years of SEC football. This feels a lot more like home than the BIG XII -2+1-2+1

6 hours from now we'll be checking into a B&B on the outskirts of your fine community. Best of luck tomorrow as the Ags respectfully trounce you on our way to a BCS bowl. ;) Gig'em and Hotty Toddy, y'all.
