What does Rebel Mean?

Rebel means to rise up, to go up against, to resist and to defy. Being a rebel means to be radical, dissenter, to fight back and to be a revolutionary.

It's either that, or the Confederate meaning. A lot of people (I for see) will have a problem with our current Rebels establishing their own identity, their own traditions. Move forward, or get out of the way. HOTTY TODDY!!!

If he had his head where it was supposed to be it shouldn't matter what the fans in the stands are saying. You have to ignore them and IF you want to respond you do your talking on the court with your play. To trash talk people in the stands just shows a lack of maturity. I'm kinda torn on the whole MH deal. It is obvious the kid can shoot the ball but I feel he takes a lot of terrible shots. OM would be a lot better team if he would simply shoot the ball when he is open and quit forcing things. I wouldn't care how many times he shot it if he was taking decent shots. Tonight OM dodged another bullet. Buckner picked up his fourth foul with about 12 minutes left. AK left him in the game and he never fouled out. I don't know what Auburn was thinking but I would have went at him every time down the floor till he fouled out. This game would have been very different had Buckner fouled out with 10 minutes left. It is going to be interesting to see how they adjust to MH coming off the screens. Auburn had some success switching tonight. We had some guys step up and make some shots when they really needed to. This team has starting to believe they are supposed to win That alone may have been the difference in the Vandy,TN and Auburn games.

I must admit it was uncalled for, but I LOL'd for about half an hour. It's their student section, and they don't cut any of our players any slack. I wish our student section was more like them!

I dont usually post on the BB forum, because its like listening to a bunch of old crones lamenting about the younger generation, but I have to ask this. why no anger about how the refs allowed AU to SHOVE our guys around all night?

MH whiffed the students after the game, he's not a thug, a serial rapist, a druggie. He's a kid with some passion. you dont like it, understood, but get off your self righteous soap boxes.

Since when did it become 'self-righteous' want our University to be represented well. I'll grant you that I probably wasn't a model representative. But, I also wasn't on TV once or twice a week, receive a million dollars in salary from the University, receive a free education from the University for playing basketball, etc.

This is a case of double-standards. People will look the other way if the antics are helping their cause.

The stuff after the game last night was Busch league and everyone here knows it. Some of you just choose to embrace it b/c he's on OUR team. That's fine. But, don't give us *beep* for wanting our coaches and athletes to be held to some sort of standard.

What did u say about Forcade? After we beat state one year in Jackson, Forcade had scored the winning TD at the end of the game. As he went back to the bench, he gave the entire state student section the finger. And all us Rebels LOVED it. Stay on your uppity horse if u want. The rest of us are enjoying a GREAT BB season. The students were on Henderson from before the game started until the end. Maybe he shouldn't have done it, but it's only human nature. The students got what they deserved. Go pull for ND or somebody if u and the other nellies don't want to get behind this team. Fact is, yall started whinning a month before the season even started. And have been whinning after EVERY game. And I mean EVERY game. All 19 the proof is in all yalls post. Like I said earlier, hope yall have a rotten BB season, cause we plan on enjoying it. And even though u will deny it, yall are pulling against us in BB. And that can't be argued. Your hatred for AK has clouded your love for Ole Miss. But don't worry, a lose is coming soon, and that will give all the little nellies in nellieland great joy and they will whine til their hearts are filled with hatred. Enjoy.

That's who it is! I have been trying to figure who Henderson reminds me of.....classless hot dog..... It is Fourcade! Fourcade's own offensive line hated him so much that they gave the defense a free shot at him one day in practice. That's who Henderson is.....he is Fourcade. I was in school with Fourcade....my ex brother in law was one of his linemen and he was just as much an embarrassment as Henderson. And sloan's program was as undisciplined as AK's. perfect comparison!

This is off sps board about alst night.

I don't blame him. He was taunted by their fans on twitter and called racial slurs all game. It was almost like he was in Starkville. Good to see he got some sort of vengeance, though he may be forever scarred by the racial slurs.

I don't care what any of u say about me. If I see people bad mouthing Ole Miss, I'll say something. Keep hating Ole Miss, cause that's what u are doing. Pityful.

It could be argued that YOU hate Ole Miss b/c your 'win at any cost' attitude ignores the fact that this kid's actions reflect badly on the University.

I don't doubt for a second that the Auburn fans taunted and called him names on Twitter and during the game. Why do you think that is, Jim? Just b/c he plays for Ole Miss? Right. He's got to have thicker skin. It's one thing to 'throw the guns up' after a three, it's another entirely to target a section of fans after the game to taunt.

Again, you watch interviews with the guy and he's perfectly well spoken. He really doesn't come off like he does during games. He's got to reign it in a little bit. I want other teams and fans to hate us b/c we always win, not b/c we have one player that gives them every reason to.

Jim, I wasn't old enough to have payed much attention to any sport when Fourcade was at Ole Miss. I do remember when he became the starter for the Saints and I remember saying to my Aunt and Uncle(they are the reason for my Ole Miss fandom), hey that guy played at Ole Miss. They proceeded to tell me what a jerk he was and also the story Chuck mentioned above of how his own teammates hated him.

I don't believe, at all, that Henderson's teammates hate him. Quite the opposite. But, I still believe he can display that emotion without being a bad representative for Ole Miss.
