I will give AK props for some pretty good coaching in the tournament.
He had his team ready to play in every game & every time they looked out he took a timeout & got his team refocused.

No doubt. I've seen more coaching out of him in the last 3/4 days than in the previous 6 years. I can live with this AK.rickochet2 wrote:

I must honestly say that I have not seen this coach. He seemed prepared & had an answer to all the important questions at every critical point of all 3 games.lewindha wrote:No doubt. Very proud right now. I didn't give us a chance in this game. Just wanted to play tough to show the committee we belonged. We don't need no committee now.
Great job, Rebs.
Yeah, it just killed me. You stay classy.proud2breb wrote:I'm loving it! Though I knw it kills some here that Henderson had such a good game. I'd like to give a big FU to the Henderson haters. I support you, Marshall! BTW, FU is simply UF backwards. HOTTY TODDY!!!
They don't understand how classless it makes them look for attacking our own players and our own coaches. Yet far be it if u call them on it. I've been attacked by numerous posters on here for defending our players and our coaches. They don't bother looking at the circumstances involved. Never mind what AK is trying to recruit against. Even the announcers say how hard it is to recruit at Ole Miss. Opposing coaches joke about the tad pad. Good basketball players don't want to come here. Having Summers out may have been a good thing, since he's one of the ones that created that crap during the season. AK has to take players he wouldn't normally. He took Summers when we lost out on the player that went to arkie, changing his mind while on the way to the press conference to announce to us. When we get a good one, enter MH, they make fun of him, calling him names. But that's not classless according to them, only when u call them out on it.proud2breb wrote:I didn't call anyone out, but thanks for clarifying where you stand.
Yet, we just won a conference championship with those horrible players that we're stuck with. We've had good players. We needed a good coach. Looks like Kennedy picked some up on the way to Nashville. I saw actual, noticeable SET plays in this game. We scored on one or two well schemed inbound plays. That has not been present in our basketball program for years.rebeljim wrote:They don't understand how classless it makes them look for attacking our own players and our own coaches. I'm saying AK can get better players if we have something to offer, that's why I've ALWAYS said he hasn't had the chance he or anyone else deserves. Remember all those should he be fired or not conversations? The 2 bigs we have coming in will more than likely be better than the 2 that are leaving. This team started jelling after the state loss, something that hasn't happen in a long time here. Sometimes that can be because of the players u have had to get in order to give yourself the best chance to win. He's had to take chances on players with questionable ethics. He's kicked 2 players off the team since the end of last season. Summers has his issues as well. Wouldn't break my heart if he transfered. I think Millinghaus will be the starter next year anyway. I also think it's more like the players weren't running the right schemes, not doing what they were told, and that's why u would see AK about to have a cow. It wasn't the lack of coaching, but the lack of executing. And AK has to live and die with who he has. Again, look at Summers not giving the ball to Henderson. Millinghaus doesn't seem to have a problem with it. At least u are here enjoying the victory Eric. That's more than I can say about some others. Let's enjoy the victory, and let's root them on in the tourney. HOTTY TODDY Eric.lewindha wrote:Yet, we just won a conference championship with those horrible players that we're stuck with. I complain about how our players act, all the while saying I believe they are good enough to make the tourney. You keep saying we can't attract the talent we need to win. You are literally saying our players aren't talented enough. But, it's me attacking them.
