Ole Miss had a defensive coordinator that later went on to win 2 NFL championships, as head Coach!!

Can you name him?

Bill Parcells was Steve Sloan's defensive coordinator and was part of the Sloan deal, but did not come to Ole Miss with Coach Sloan. after finding out Oxford did not have much of a hospital, his daughter had a heart problem.

That is the correct answer- Flop's son.

I heard Jimmy Sexton, Bill's agent explain on radio. That Sloan hired Pacells & he was Ole Miss defensive Coordinator for 48 hrs.

Then, he got a better offer from the Giants to come to NY & coach the defensive backs, then later worked up to head Coach.

happened like I said, not like you heard on the radio. the Giants did not steal Bill Parcells from Ole Miss, The University Of Mississippi Medical Center not being in Oxford did.

Sexton was also the one who said "Ole Miss will get it right this time" when he foisted Nutt on us.

I think he has been wrong at least twice.

One last swat at the Dead Horse.......Bill Parcels is not listed in the Media Guide on the Assitant Coaches History Page.
