I know I should start threads and contribute, and maybe I will soon, but we just had a baby and I barely have time to lurk much less come up with an original thought. But guys, it's the first day of the season and there's not much to see here. What's the deal? Has everyone moved on? Where is everybody? I always preferred this board because it was somewhat rational and I miss the well-intended arguments here.

I started a new job and have not had time to get on here much lately either. I at least wanted to comment so you werent left hanging out in the corner all by yourself! ha

I hope we come out swinging tonight and get it done

Me too. I'm sure things will pick-up once we have more to discuss but I guess like life, no news is good news around these parts.

We're just so used to being in panic mode as Rebels!

I agree, there are very few posts, and it seems like no one is following the game on here.

I am here after a long hiatus from the board. Bought in to the hype this year. Looks like it won't come to any type of fruition until next year. Sure was fun while it lasted!

Wow, glad I checked the board tonight....I'll throw my 2 cents in, some may not care for it but so be it.

I used to post quite a bit but slowly got tired of it mainly because of some of the members. Too many pessimists here for my liking. Some want to find the bad in EVERY LITTLE thing. Meh, not gonna elaborate because it doesn't matter much, but with that said, there were quite a few good members that I enjoyed exchanging and reading posts.

**might be a long year fellas...hotty toddy.

Does anyone see the positive tonight?

Not much positive. This team just looks like a deer in headlights. Such the opposite of last year. They might have read too much of the hype.

Hope you guys didn't turn in too early. Missed a heck of a game and a team that showed a lot of maturity. Never give up! Hotty Toddy.

I was proud of our team tonight. Nearly gave me a heart attack, but glad they never quit.

My take. We just beat a very good team, and were lucky to do so. Franklin is one hell of a coach, although I don't think he should have let the WR back in, that worried me a bit.
Point is, Vandy is pretty darn good. We won a brilliant test. Perhaps we WILL surprise a few teams. And I think, so will Vandy.

Agree on all points Bob...good team....great coach....unbelievable WR....buuuuuut I also think we have a decent team.....a pretty good coach......and maybe one or two, hell even maybe three really really really good WR's...... :)

Good win tonight against a really good team.....Texas will be tough.....but can't wait.....

With the youth on the field Ole Miss could have packed it in after the second quarter which was a total disaster. They didn't quit and in the end did find a way to win. Vandy is a good football team. I know it's hard to believe but they simply aren't the same as in years past. There were some glaring problems that need sorting out. Our offensive line was whipped pretty bad for most of the night. We gave up way to many third down conversions. If we can't find a way to get the defense off the field on third downs it is going to be a long year. In the end it was a very good win.
