[quote="lewindha"] In my 35 years, I don't remember having that kind of confidence about an Ole Miss team. [quote]

I was a little boy listening on the radio to games in the Vaught Era the last time I had this feeling.

I was talking with my Uncle last night after the game and he was telling me that he has waited 51 years for us to pay Texas back. Coming from an entire family of Ole Miss fans, we've weathered the good and bad and I've never in my life time been this much excited about our football program and its future.
Man what'd I miss, I had to *beep*. FIRST DOWN O..L..E MISS

I told me buddy, as long as we can keep them relatively close by the end of the half that we'd be OK. When we got that field goal, I told my friends that that game was over.

The one gripe I have about this game(and season in general), is the half-time adjustments. Yes, they are flawless. But, seems we gameplan very well, which is why we jump out to an early lead. But last night and against Vandy, we let them back in it when we really could've put it away. The halftime adjustments are great, I just wish we could make those adjustment a little earlier than waiting til the half.

It's a minor gripe and all I can come up with. Austin is a great town, the people were great, and the game was better.

I don't know who all went and I wish we could've met up. My friend's cousin who lives in Austin was taking us around to see the sites. I ate a burger at HopDoddy's(or HopDaddys?) on Friday afternoon that made me want to slap my momma.
Oh yeah, the burgers at Hopdaddy's are unbelievable!

Titles 'R Us and I are obviously from the same era. I also remember listening to the Vaught-era teams on the radio.

I haven't belt this good about a team since the Rebs, with Archie at QB, stomped number 3 ranked Tennessee in Jackson 38-0. I was there and it was a beautiful and fabulous day.

The 2ndf half against Texas was nearly flawless (just the missed extra point, and the Texas kick-off return). The good times are coming back!

This feels great but I'm not gonna get ahead myself. I only have to go back to '03 to find when I felt this good. Now if we beat Bama after beating Texas..... Then I will pull out all the stops and superlatives. Right now I'm just basking in the red and blue glow in this orange town!

Although they are "young puppies", they sure aren't playing like it. They are getting better with every snap of the ball. It is exciting to watch them play.

Oh yeah, did Matt Millen call the game? He was on my flight out of Austin. I wanted to ask him what he thought about Treadwell.
