We had our chances tonight

we just didn't execute. Those 3 trips to the redzone should have given us 21 points. If that would have happened, we win the game. We have to put this behind us and for the love of all that is good BEAT STATE. Otherwise its the crappy liberty bowl.
There is no crappy bowl for a team this young.jrebel87 wrote:we just didn't execute. Those 3 trips to the redzone should have given us 21 points. If that would have happened, we win the game. But the liberty bowl is a step ahead of the toilet bowl.rebeloke wrote:There is no crappy bowl for a team this young.jrebel87 wrote:we just didn't execute. All those top recruits did not sign here to go to the Liberty Bowl. They would be just as disappointed as the fans.Rebchuck18 wrote:BingoGoroth wrote:Regardless of what you say about youth. The liberty is a step backwards from anything we did last year.

Agreed. I think it will be Nashville if we manage to beat State. If we don't beat State we deserve Memphis.JustBlues wrote:If we take care of business this Thursday, we do not go to the Liberty Bowl.
Think OM needs to take this into perspective. 2 years ago, you'd have killed for a winning season. Grant it, OM blew some games this year and there's little/no excuse for that. Sometimes, you just lose to better teams. Also, OM has got to learn to beat good teams. OM will get there.
of course, Georgia Tech could very realistically do us a favor and move us to Gator and who knows, maybe Arky could move us up one more.Rebchuck18 wrote:Agreed. With due respect you can understand that but you can also use that as an excuse for failing to take advantage of opportunities that were well within our reach and not pie in the sky by any means. Mizzou and Auburn were games that were extremely winnable and the thing that disappoints me is that in both instances we not only got outplayed, but we got outcoached. I also think WE outcoached Texas and LSU and that inconsistency is what troubles me.spudhog wrote:Think OM needs to take this into perspective. 2 years ago, you'd have killed for a winning season. With LSU's victory over A&M and our loss to Mizzou I don't see us moving ahead of LSU in the pecking order regardless of what happens against Arky. We may actually now have to worry about Vandy possibly jumping us in that pecking order.JustBlues wrote:of course, Georgia Tech could very realistically do us a favor and move us to Gator and who knows, maybe Arky could move us up one more.Rebchuck18 wrote:Agreed.
