Then some get greedy and wonder why we ain't doing this or that. Maybe it's because we still don't have enough talent to compete day in and day out. We had some injuries in key spots, and didn't have the depth to replace them. Do any of u not know how pitiful our Oline is? How we don't have a big back to run over folks? The only way we get that is through recruiting. And that won't happen over night. When Evans, our TE went down, we had no one to take his place. Same with CJ on the Dline, we lost our only pure pass rusher. I now return u to your bash Freeze mentality.
Maybe, but they sure didn't look like "NFL talent" under Coach O. Nor did Auburn's players look like National Championship contenders under Chizich, and it's true that 3 years ago we didn't look like bowl contenders under a declining Nutt. I don't know what the magic formula is, but there is a difference in whining and stating facts. Maybe Freeze is the anointed one, but we haven't been given enough to crown him that yet IMO. I want him to succeed, just like I wanted "O" and Nutt to succeed.
I do know a good coach develops NFL talent. Great athletes have to have a lot of things go there way to get recognized. Some people are simply gifted, but if the coach uses that gift, they rack up stats and get drafted earlier. Maybe Nutt had more talent his first 2 years. Maybe Nutt should have won 10, 11, or 12 games per season with those guys! All I know is we could have easily won 3 more games this year with a better coach. That's not a slam on Freeze, that's a fact! We were that close with the talent on our roster. My only point is that Nutt accomplished more in his first two years than what your praising Freeze for. Everyone said Nutt had us "winning faster than anyone thought possible". Great coach, or beginners luck? In hindsight we can say Nutt was lucky! I'm not gonna jump the gun on anointing Freeze! That said, he has my support as long as he's our coach... Or until we drop two consecutive to the MSUx Bulldogs!
