Ellis to angels. 88th overall.
Ole Miss commitment Foster Griffin, LHP, drafted #28 by Kansas City Royals. 28th overall pick...bonus slot of $1.815M Imagine he's gone.
SS Ti'Quon Forbes drafted 59th by Rangers, and has already announced that he's signing with the Rangers.

Can't believe we wasted time recruiting players that good!lewindha wrote:Fire Bianco
I was hoping we could keep one of our top 3 recruits. With 2 already gone, may not get my wish.olemissreb10 wrote:Neither were ever making it to campusrebeljim wrote:Ole Miss commitment Foster Griffin, LHP, drafted #28 by Kansas City Royals. 28th overall pick...bonus slot of $1.815M Imagine he's gone.

Griffin and Forbes are gone. Tate Blackman and Clay Casey have gone past the spot they wanted in order for them to sign(per Chase on Rivals). Chase says Casey and Blackman likely headed Oxford, unless whoever finally drafts them offers way above the going rate for that spot.
Also, Tate Blackman tweeted "Hotty Toddy is all I'm saying."
National ranking per Rivals:
Griffin 14
Forbes 24
Blackman 55
Casey 96

It is a waste of time when you pretty much know most of the blue chip players are going pro. It is awfully hard to turn down $1 million plus, or even above $500k, although I know a few have done it. I just hope we didn't turn our backs on other good players to try to get top notch blue chippers, knowing the chances we r high they go pro. But, just keep hosting Regionals and making it to the Supers and possibly Omaha, and I don't care.Rebchuck18 wrote:Can't believe we wasted time recruiting players that good!lewindha wrote:Fire Bianco

The first time we don't recruit one of these guys and he shuns the draft and signs with LSU folks will be calling for Bianco's head. You're damned if you do damned if you don't, so I say go after the best players period.
