Hi guys.... I'm a UL Alum/Parent AND an Ole Miss parent and one year season ticket holder. I love UL and Ole Miss. I had been looking forward to the Sept 13 football game when UL travels to Oxford, but this baseball game is an unexpected surprise.

Y'all were SO helpful when I asked a lot of questions about Ole Miss and the Grove last year. I wanted to return the favor about Lafayette. Yes, UL's baseball stadium is small and UL's facilities are no where near the caliber of Ole Miss. But Lafayette folks are very hospitable and you won't go hungry!

In case you haven't seen this yet, UL is setting up several big screens outside the baseball stadium and adjacent to the football stadium for fans to watch the game. It will be airing all games throughout the day. ( http://www.ragincajuns.com/news/2014/6/ ... agincajuns )

I also wanted to offer a few tips on good eats in Lafayette:

Breakfast: T Coons or Rusted Rooster. No BBB but Rusted Rooster offers a special dish with crawfish etouffee over a biscuit. YUM!

You can't go wrong with a po-boy from Ole Time Grocery right off UL's main campus on East St. Mary.

Prejeans is our family favorite for good seafood. It's north of I-10 on I-49 and they serve authentic seafood.

Agave right next to the stadium is great Mexican, serves good margaritas and I saw the Ole Miss alumni association was having a gathering there.

And the MSU sports reporter who bashed Lafayette said the UL fans went nuts when MSU fans started shouting S-E-C, S-E-C. It wasn't personal. I can assure it stems from years of being in LSU's shadow... there is NO love loss between UL and LSU fans.

Anyway, I'm praying for a great series with no injuries! Hotty Toddy!
