The difference with our defense this year is maturity and depth. If we shut down their running game and let our secondary show why they are the best in the nation, we will not allow many points. We must establish a running game, which opens our passing game as well. Experience at QB is in our corner, this will be the difference in the game. Our team is hungry, and the fact that the number 3 team in the nation is a 2 point underdog gives our team more motivation to earn respect.

McElroy and McFarland of SEC Nation pointed out rightly that A & M's run defense is especially weak. They telestrated a number of formations in which that defense did not move the line of scrimmage, allowing State to run wild. This is the week we should be able to shove it down their throats.

Our run game has improved a tremendous amount since the beginning of the season. A lot of pundits have been down on our rush offense since the Alabama game as we only gained 72 yards, but those 72 yards were against the best run defense in the nation and were actually higher than the average yards given up by that defense. We are definitely NOT Miss State when it comes to run offense. They are particularly strong there and we are not, but we are adequate and against A&M we should have a balanced offense with some run game success which will open up success in the passing game as well.
