First-half summary: basically the same first half Ole Miss has played against Memphis, Alabama, and even last week vs Tennessee.
(except that the defense does look a lot worse overall tonight)
Now let's play the same second-half we did against those teams! HOTTY TODDY

Of course LSU starts playing like this in time for our game.
I figured they'd be able to run on us, but not like this. I am now officially worried about Arkansas, Auburn, and State. This is not a top defense. We played better against Alabama. Is LSU's running game THAT much better than Bama's?

I'm only worried about this game tonight. Is LSU playing that well, or did our defense have a rough first half? I don't know why we are struggling so badly to stop the run, but I'm confident Freeze and the gang can get this under control through coaching them up during halftime. I really think they had to play so much of the first half, that they were literally worn down. I'm hoping we can get the offense going during the second half and keep our defense off the field so long.lewindha wrote:Of course LSU starts playing like this in time for our game.

Does it make me a pessimist to predict three straight runs and a punt with us being pinned deep here?
I just really want to see us do something other than run on first down, just once!

In a game where we need to eat clock and we are averaging four yards a carry, yes.proud2breb wrote:Does it make me a pessimist to predict three straight runs and a punt with us being pinned deep here?

Six yards a carry. Sorry, old habits.JustBlues wrote:In a game where we need to eat clock and we are averaging four yards a carry, yes.proud2breb wrote:Does it make me a pessimist to predict three straight runs and a punt with us being pinned deep here?

Is it just me, or does ESPN have a huge man crush on LSU?

Well, I don't know about that last possession. There were some positives but we didn't finish and we didn't run as much clock off as we could have. Disappointing!
