AP ranked 19

I got the topic wrong... 18th in the AP, 19th in the coaches poll. I have to admit it's higher than I thought we'd be, and a lot lower than #11 ranking that jpsoldier24 thought we would land. Dropping 10 - 11 slots is a big fall in one week, but we certainly deserved to fall at least that far!

The SEC west is head shoulders above the other leagues and if we want to compete we still need a lot more talent

I agree with fenderman. I own several world class instruments, doesn't mean I can out shred Jimi or SRV. I have the tools but not the talent. I think it's nice as a fan to realize we have the tools to threaten for the first time in a long time. It's disappointing to realize we're still talent deficient at a lot of positions, and that includes depth at several spots.
